Its a FRESHLY Evolved N. Gya. , though, operating on its Base Stats and its previous Evo/Egg/Nuclear Moves. One that is 4X Weak to Grass and Electricity too, at that, and is up against A Steel/Grass and Steel/Electric type with HIGH Defense....

Overall, Arial's doing pretty good against N. Gya ...assuming it doesn't start targeting the madman straight up instead of his Pokémon. Only Reiner would be better off against it, and that is because they are packing Pokémon with OHKO Moves...

You've got two pokemon that can hit a 4x weakness with really strong moves.  It'll go down faster than you might expect since you can gang up on it.  Special Conditions and strong stat debuffs are also your friends since Gyarados can't clear any of them on its own.

For reference, Mew had 30 HP and 5 Defense, and it took 4 Rounds to down her with 4 pokemon using primarily weaker Dark moves.  Buzzwole also had 108 HP and 5 Defense and also took 4 Rounds to take down using a bunch of really strong neutral attacks and a handful of x2 super effective ones.  One was a Boss, the other was Hard and was immediately after the ridiculousness of Beautifly and Shedinja (so it might as well have been a Boss)

You got this.

Can I at least bring Airmid or Baltazar to stay in the backlines together with Arial and act as support? Without Wide Guard or any other proper protection, Arial gonna be killed again. And there is any other strategy I can do? Both Zeus and Melchior can fight face to face against Gyarados, and Baltazar or Airmid could stay with Arial to offer Wide Guard or Protection.

Remember that Arial can only safely command 2 pokemon at a time.  Reiner can only safely command 3+ pokemon because of Plot Device reasons.

Told ya you could handle it, Spirit Wink

Of course, keep in mind that that was an 'easy' Gyarados.  A more experienced one would be much more difficult to deal with.  Reiner saved Rhyxemplar's Horn Drill for Clair's Gyarados with good reason.

Question, Windos: Is it still possible to hit up to 5 targets with spread moves even though the Growlithe have all split into smaller groups?

Nope! Each individual mini group is spread out far enough away from each other to prevent that from happening! They may feral, but Nuclear Growlithes have good tactical instincts in them!
