[Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels
I'm going to be real honest here:

These N-Crobat scare me. 7 Dex, 5 Strength, 5 Vitality, and +4 HP is...a lot to try and deal with.

And there's 3 of them.

With backup.

...so how are we meant to be surviving these battles against these nucmon hordes, again? Because the odds do seem overwhelmingly stacked in the nucmons' favor.

Just a thought I had.

If you want the truth, I rolled out from a list of Encounters that the party was going on each path, and the right one turned out to have one of the worst ones possible. Didn't help that Reiner didn't get enough successes on his Alert Roll to give him a heads up either...

As for the difficulty, a few things to point out:

- For the most part, Wild Pokémon only draw upon their natural Learnset, their Egg Moves, and whatever ??? Moves they have in the Corebook. The Zubat Line doesn't have a whole lot of Moves that are terribly effective against either Steel types, and the ones that do are, spoilers, the higher tiered Evos. Take them out first, and things will prove easier.

- The Crobats are the most dangerous Pokémon out of the whole lot, and lead their respective swarms. Take them out first, and the rest will either scatter, or be hindered in some manner , like the Ratitcate Horde.

- The Golbats are modest threats in of themselves, but their Attributes aren't maxed out like the Crobats, and the Zubats are just fodder meant to nip and harry vulnerable targets, or provide support if they are capable of thinking of doing as such.

- Between Frosslad and Giegeroach, you have both Mega AoE Moves AND Barriers to take advantage of, Arial and his Pokémon are pretty solid against the whole lot, and Lindworm….well, he's in dire straights, but Dragonair has Twister and other powerful Moves to handle the bats.

- The Clinic (Once you unlock it), is meant as a place of some healing to your Pokémon, and the facility is littered with both loot and supplies to keep you sustained. That, and Airimid (Once she gets back up on her feet) is a source of considerable Healing with her Abilities and Moves, and her Healing Wish is pretty much a Deus Ex Machina, albeit one with a price. The Golden Apple is an outright Deus Ex Machina, and Yang could also be strong armed into sharing his Lefties with more Pokémon, though he wouldn't be too please about it. Given the situation the party is in, though, a Dragon's unhappiness better on the chopping block than free Healing.

On this subject, they're also the fact that you two could have stocked yourselves to the gills with HP restoring Items, particularly Reiner since he has lots of Poke and access to The Merchant, who could have potentially gave them Medicines that ignore Potion Effectiveness (Like Herbal Medicine/Revival Herb), and a Favor could have been used to request roughly the same Poke Value of Supplies = Riot Armor Price. Sure, it would have cleaned you out Pokewise, but like I said: Loot in NRF, Rare Pokémon, and other goodies could quickly replenish your funds.

I very clearly hinted and alluded that the NRF is a BAD, DANGEROUS PLACE, and I hate to say this, but....well, I warned you.

Yeah...we are pretty with a lot of trouble in our hands. I almost die in the first battle against the Nuc Ratata and N-Raticate. And now we have waves of N-Bats to face. And we are not even close to our next destination. We still have a long way to go, and many foes to face.

And you must admit too Dragonstrike. Windos have warned us about the danger of that place. I gladly I was able to get the Cleric Alomola. That pokemon have saved my life.

Also Windos some sort of question: After that mission, its gonna have a hiatus in Celadon City correct? That will be the last mission? How it gonna be make the thing to enter in contact with Nellygator?

The Rattata just got REALLY lucky when they focused you down, mate, and the Explosion totally sucked arse for Arial and co. If things went a little differently, you guys wouldn't have had nearly as much trouble with those rat finks.

Cleric Alomomla is pretty sweet, though SE Damage and limited offensive presence holes it up into the Pure Support category, like Poe.

After the Mission, the only thing that is left to do is deciding what sort of Endgame you all want to do on Sunday. If Reiner and You decide to remain Loyal to TR, then the NRF is pretty much THE final dungeon for the conceivable future, while I take what I learned from the is campaign to build the next part. Nellygator can still be called up and such, and nothing stops you from using the Global Trading Function/Communication to conduct business and the like.

And another question I have forgot to ask: In the battle against Reiner, Durendal was holding a Quick Claw. When Durendal left the party, the item he gave to Arial was the Razor Fang or the Quick Claw? Just to confirm it.

Well, to choose what End Game shall be still a question to me. In a way, I still want to let Arial have crazy adventures along with Reiner. Along with the fact Reiner helped Arial a lot in this journey so he still in debt with him.

But there is also the thing about left Team Rocket. Displeased Team Rocket its the same to have a target in the head with other Rocket Grunts, Bounty Hunters and of course the police to find ex-criminals. Along with the fact we shall never be able to use the advantages we have such as the Rocket PC to swap our members and have access to us. Along with the fact Petrel, Proton and Giovanni itself will hunt our arses forever. And Arial know very much what is capable Giovanni, since Arial when he was young and was trying to survive try to smug Giovanni (without knowing he was dealing with the Leader of Team Rocket).

Resume of the opera: Giovanni completely obliterate Arial team but he see his skills and give him two choices: Go with him and join Team Rocket. Or send to the jail and root in a cell until the last of his days. Guess we have our answear right? Thats what Petrel have mentioned so long time ago:

"I've read up on your file and background, Arial, and while the way you...introduced yourself to the Boss was quite frankly ballsy as fuck and double hilariously stupid has earned you several points in my book, your misanthropic attitude is not appreciated with me. Cut it out, or I'll cut you out of this conversation and Reiner's life altogether, got it? Team Rocket protects its own from all manner of trouble, and that includes you as well; don't forget that."

Thats the explanation of Arial sigh in Team Rocket @Dragonstrike.

Hmm, I could give the Quick Claw to Baltazar to give him more speed and the Razor Fang to Asura to make him capable of flinch the foes. That would do.

Hey Spiritmon, are your orders for awhile back still valid, or do you want to edit them to account for the no Hone Claws and Insane Crobat?
