Ah, I just remembered what my other question was.  Since the video is dated, how long has it been since Alexandra recorded it?  Minor detail, but it could be important.

Since I recall Petrel saying that its been a 'couple of months' since the Nuclear nasties were sprung from confinement and the time of the call, and that Alexandra 'dated' the video three weeks after it first began, its been.....five or so weeks since then. Its why I explicitly mentioned that her and the rest of the bodies were in remarkably good condition, considering how much time has passed since their deaths. Guess having an antiseptic meat locker of a lab really slows decomposition to a crawl, eh?

In other words, if Alexandra hadn't committed suicide, she would have had just barely had enough supplies to hold out until Reiner and company arrived...hmmm...

...well, that's tragic, to say the least...

More or less, depending on other factors. 

Problem with surviving that long is that she was trapped in a freezing cold lab with limited resources, all alone, surrounded by the bodies of her friends, and with horrible monsters prowling the outside of the room, uncertain of whether they'll continue ignoring the room or decide to keep trying to break in until they succeed.

Humans are social creatures, and only the most trained and/or strong willed can hold out in such conditions without going suicidal or mad, and given she was a typically pasty nerd....
