Cameron is epic I know wahaha. The only ship I've got going on rn is just between my protag and Rosalind because... Well, aesthetic  There's definitely huge Lucille backstories circulating as well, and I super love all the gym leaders. Almost all of them bar the early ones have been tied into my story somehow.
That fanfic on Theo's computer was so cute lol. I didn't even know it existed till I saw someone post it on tumblr...
I'm doing chemical engineering (so i can work in power plants heheh). Aww sorry to hear about that! Computer science is really badass too though. I am in awe of anyone who can code and stuff.

We're presently working on Cam's relationship to Lucille, elaborating on his noticeable intimidation about Kellyn, why Cam left the region for a while before returning for his Interpol mission, and why he brought back a son...but not a spouse. Part of me hopes that the new devs will never elaborate on Cam, since I adore our theories so much!
Oh man I actually am a huuuuge Undertale fan, so I was clicking on everything in every house. It became an inside joke between me and my partner that Pluto's real quest was to steal from every fridge in every house in the region and drink their coffee. (In fact, some of the houses' fridges do have snarky dialogue like it's not nice to steal from people's fridges). But aside from that, seeing the dorky fanfic on his PC made me squeak. I was like "okay, who is this little nerd and where can I get about 8 million of him."
Oh man I actually work as a clerical contractor at a chemical plant (formerly Dow Chemical). It's really fun and the operators and programmers are all really nice. I'm sure you'll really enjoy it!

!!!! I never even realised Caneron doesn't have a partner. Wow that does make the ground ripe for theories
I might even put something abt Cam and Lucille in the fic now seeing as you've inspired me...
I click on most everything just out of curiosity, but that's a funny idea.
I can't wait to get a job, I'm keen on all engineering stuff. Most everyone seems to think I should take the research path with my "personality" though which is a huge bummer.

Well, if you're interested...
I theorize that, like Theo and the main character (who will be referred to as Pluto from this point forward, as Pluto was my headcanon main character), Lucille and and Cameron grew up together as rivals. But, while Theo was always the follower in his relationship with Pluto, Lucille was always the follower with Cam. While they both started with Pokemon that only have Peck as a starting damage-dealing move, Cam's Volchik had type resistance, while Lucille's Chicoatl, had type weakness. We theorize that Cam grew incredibly close to Lucille, his feelings for her developing into romantic interest. Cam grew stronger as a trainer and won the Championship, while Lucille grew stronger as a researcher and scientist.
Then, twenty years before the events which take place in the story, Kellyn came over from the Almia region and saved Lucille's life from from rampaging Pokemon and swept her off her feet. Of course, Cam was upset... But due to his usual passive attitude, he backed off of his feelings for Lucille's sake. His feelings were still quite obvious, and eventually Kellyn picked up on it. Kellyn is noticeably possessive and tends to snap at people who attempt to come between him and Lucille. And based on how intimidated Cam seems by Kellyn (such as clearly not wanting Pluto to be exploring the dangerous Epsilon island but "not being able to defy Kellyn's orders" or when Kellyn snaps at him for not telling him about Lucille's possible involvement and Cam stutters noticeably...), I theorize that Kellyn bit his head off and told him he was just causing Lucille distress so he should stop having any involvement with Lucille. So... To escape those feelings and for Lucille's sake, Cam left the region. Lucille was pretty hurt, not understanding why he just up and left one day without a single word of reason. So, to get her mind off of the sadness, she began looking for a big project to work on as a distraction... And wound up getting involved with Larkspur Industries.
Meanwhile, Cam had attracted the attention of scouting agents of Interpol when he won the Championship. When they approached him, similarly, he accepted as a means of getting his mind off of losing the person he had deep feelings for. But, through Interpol, he met a vibrant person who helped him forget the past. He fell in love and married, and had a child, Theo, eleven years before the current events of the game. But... Due to complication with the birth, Cam lost his spouse. It was then that he was told he would be sent back to Tandor to investigate shady business involved with Larkspur Industries. After all, he was already familiar with the region and could investigate much easier than many other agents. So, with a heavy heart after losing his partner, he took his very small son to Bealbeach to live while investigating.
But he soon discovered that his childhood best friend and love interest was working closely with the group he was sent to investigate... And one day, when he was there looking for evidence, the plant engaged its emergency meltdown sequence. And Cam tried to save Lucille, but... It was too late to do so. Of course, Kellyn blamed Cameron. After all, he suspiciously returned just before Lucille vanished. Kellyn grew fixated on finding his partner, to a psychologically unhealthy extent. And when he stopped caring for Pluto and sent them to Moki town to live with his aunt, Cam took his son there to live and watch over them. After all, he might not have been able to save Lucille, but he certainly wasn't going to let her child grow up without a real father figure in their life.
So, essentially, he started raising Pluto alongside Theo. And much to his delight, Pluto and Theo developed a relationship that really reminded him of his relationship with Lucille. It was almost bittersweet to him.

Cam is easily my favorite character. He's complex in that he has a mission he's fixated on... But doesn't let that hinder him from being a good person or good parent. He is everything Kellyn should have been. The stark contrast between Kellyn's brash, unreasonable nature and mental health compared to Cam's is really noticeable, especially when you speak to Cam on Epsilon island and then later in the game.

Totally agree with that. I've been playing on that in my fic where my protag is totally jealous of Theo's relationship with his dad though they never admit it to themselves. Even though Cam always treated them well they never learned to trust him like Theo does. But Cam's care for Theo and Ari always came through as a big contrast to Kellyn's failures, which rly start to screw with the protag's trust of anyone after they finally meet him for the first time in Bealbeach

Sorry to pop in unannounced, but I like the conversation you two have going, so I'd like to add to it by giving the synopsis of my own character~
My character, Deelisa, grew up despising her father and the Ranger Union for the latter's total abandonment of her, and gradually developed as a very tactless and blunt individual out of her isolation. She took up Pokémon research as a hobby when she was young, which then became her lifelong passion, taking a job at around 8 or 9 to work with Professor B'amboo. They developed a talent and skill for indentifying the attributes of a Pokémon, and also added being 'matter of fact' and a deadpan, smartass, and dry wit about her. When she's 18, she leaves with Theo to start the plot, and through her interaction with other, becomes much less critical and harsh. In addition, as she continues to meet with her father and react to the Nuclear Crisis, she starts to gain a grudging respect/sympathy for him. By the end of the game, she's willing to start over with Kellyn, but she has not forgotten how badly he's neglected her. This is something that she brings up constantly to Kellyn, much to his discomfort. As for the reveal of her mother, well, she does not really have any attachment to her. Lucille 'died' when she was 3-4, so she never got to know her, so Deelisa considers her mostly a stranger. Cameran, on the other hand, is basically her father, and she looks up to him as much she doesn't look up to Kellyn. Doesn't stop her from being an ass, though~!

That's really cool, what a lot of detail! Yeah my character Ari is a bit of a troll lmao,and has a huge drinking problem (all of which contribute to the 'humour' part of the fic in the form of amusing events, but considered on their own these facts are evidence of a past of neglect and deep mistrust.) The bants with Kellyn are always funny cos they're so savage with him. And they want desperately for Cameron to turn out a crap person as well so Theo will also understand what it's like to have a joke for a father (Ari is pretty messed up lol, though the fic is light hearted).
Big reveals coming up on Omicron when they start to change though.

I'm loving reading the theories... having to fight the urge to click on the "Spoilers" cuz, you know... spoilers. 
So, um... I actually have one published fic right now that briefly touches on the hero's thoughts on Kellyn during the Epsilon sidequest (mainly in terms of: why did you leave me, what do I have to do to prove myself to you, and WHY THE F*** DID YOU SEND ME HERE??). Another one I'm working on (that takes place basically between Gym 3 and Gym 5) explores it in a little more depth, in terms of there's definitely a love/hate relationship going on. Oh, and plenty of other angst in between.
Marking this since I'm considering anything after beating Gym 8 to be endgame-spoiler-ish territory...
The scenes between Kellyn and the hero when CURIE comes out of Omicron have so much untapped potential that I plan on diving into in future fic. Especially since my character is trying to be brave in stopping a potential meltdown when in reality this kid is so damn terrified to be there... and then Cameron suddenly shows up and almost gets killed jumping between Theo and Urayne... and of course Kellyn was attacked by Urayne earlier, but we almost forgot that in the whole Cameron-is-still-alive excitement until he starts getting sick in front of everyone, and they rush to Ranger HQ and omgosh I feel so guilty hating him I'm so worried about him I don't want him to die ... (by the way this is all going through my head as I'm watching the cutscenes)... and then we get to the point where he's sick in bed in the ICU and tells his kid he wishes he'd been a better father and he wants to make up for it... and then the kid moves forward and I'm like OMGOSH DID THEY JUST HUG?? and of course, here come the tears... 
So... I do see a potential for reconcilation there... .... but who knows what after Zeta will bring!
In the meantime, I'm really interested in the backstories between Kellyn and Lucille. I know according to the wiki (and I'm having to be very careful with that one too, at least spoilers are clearly marked) it mentions that they met when Kellyn rescued Lucille and her colleagues from a rampaging Pokemon. And being as I'm working on yet more fic (I'm a tad easily distracted, so it's not uncommon for me to have a bunch of projects going on at once), I'd love to be able to flesh out them meeting, falling in love, getting married... especially to mark the deep change in Kellyn's personality before and after the first Epsilon meltdown.
@Creator-Kami OMGOSH I love your concept of Pluto/Theo being (or becoming) avatars of Aotius and Mutios!
