That depends on your definition of mercy.

What you expect me to do? Let Necrozma road free around the world? And Necrozma cross the line too in kill Riza. He/she be grateful for Arial not kill her.

Also @Lord Windos, is Gaspar still be able to be contained inside a Pokeball.?

Well, nothing was stopping you/Arial from capping Necrozma and being done with it, but you choose the slavery option - Such a lovely choice, that was! - .....so whatever happens with her at this point is pretty much on you.

Yeap, Gaspar can still be contained in his Pokeball, so you can recall him anytime! The data on it also reads him as a Duplicat, so the Poke Centers won't be giving you strange/terrified looks for having a Legendary Pokemon as they scan/heal it!

You do you, man.  Mercy is a matter of perspective.

The way that Necrozma's story is detailed in the games, it's actually meant to be rather tragic.  A similar situation happens at the end of USUM, when the player happens upon the exhausted Necrozma in the middle of a freshly made crater on the way to the newly constructed League on Mt. Lanakila.

Necorzma is on its hands and knees.  Powerless.  A shell of its former self once more.

And the player has the choice to either leave them there and continue to the League (they'll always be there later in the game if you do, of course), or stop and battle and attempt to capture them.  Upon capture, that's when Colress walks up with his latest inventions: items similar to the DNA Splicers, able to fuse Solgaleo/Lunala with Necrozma once more, giving the player another choice in game.  And with the aid of a trainer, it's hoped that Necrozma can one day regain control of itself and maybe even a little of its power, too...

Of course, in the meantime...Necrozma needs the aid of a trainer in order to undergo Ultra Burst without absorbing most of the light in the surrounding area.  And as for Light That Burns The Sky...

...well, using that Z move requires so much Z Power from the trainer that it exhausts them, outright changing the end of the animation for the standard Psychic Z Dance.

They can barely hold themselves up after sharing their Z Power with Necrozma to execute its ultimate attack.  THAT is how much energy Necrozma needs to maintain its true form and utilize the full extent of its power.

And that form was stolen from it by people who wanted to contain its light.  First out of greed/selfishness, then out of fear when their containment methods began to fail.

The anime has shown that it is possible to restore Necrozma to its original form permanently without absorbing Solgaleo/Lunala (and it was originally a very benevolent being that gave light to all instead of taking it for itself), but it takes a ton of Z Power being poured into it simultaneously.  It took the simultaneous usage of both a Searing Sunraze Smash and a Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom on top of countless other Z Moves to fully restore Ultra Necrozma in the anime.

Oh yeah, and speaking of Z Power...it's theorized in game that the Sparkling Stones used to create Z Power Rings are shards of Necrozma that contain a small amount of its power, pieces of it that splintered off when it originally lost its brilliance. Which is why sharing such a massive amount of Z Power with Necrozma in the anime fully restored it to its original form.  Little trivia fact for you guys.

Personally, I'm rather sympathetic towards the Blinding One's plight.  It doesn't mean what Necrozma tries to do initially is right, but redemption is certainly possible for it.

That's just me, though.  Again, you do you, man.

Hmmm....I have to think about it to be honest. Necrozma can't be so easily forgiven. Yes, Arial at the begining was very much exitating in killing Necrozma (upon the fact he even restrain his pokemons in use the extension of its Lethaly of his moves in the begin of the battle). But when Necrozma begin to use Lethal Damage along with killing Riza, any mercy Arial has left was completely drop. Even knowing anyone could be revive, the grudge still there.

Maybe someday Necrozma and Arial be in good terms, but be forgiven? I dont think very much. You would befriend someone who kill someone you love so much? Arial was merciful with Riza because they have a similar story and bonds, despite she have some skeletons in her wadrobe. But Necrozma will requires more work.

Anyway, in some parts I agree with you. Post coming right away @Lord Windos.

I know the feeling, dude.  Or rather, Reiner and Emily do.  I'm just talking about this Necrozma stuff OOC.

In any case, Arial's walking a dangerous path.  Bending a Legend to your will by force is not to be taken lightly.

Do I expect the madman to forgive Necrozma?  No, I don't.

Do I expect Necrozma to be happy with being imprisoned again?  Absolutely not.

But life goes on, eh?  Unlike the cage in Ultra Megalopolis, Necrozma isn't able to escape this confinement on its own. So unless someone ever sets them free...well, it wraps things up for the most part, and rather decisively, too.

Kyubi also knows that feeling vaguely, but she seems perfectly fine being friends with her late husband's killer. Then again, that might be the unusual bond between the two and amensia working favors for that to happen! Angelia could also be considered a fridge case, since Reiner killed her individuality/Free Will, but she's fine with it and is happy to serve be friends with him!

That's the rub of keeping Necro as a slave: You have a being of near fathomless power that has been driven insane due to being thoroughly fucked over by humanity (to put it simply) and imprisonment at your beck and call, and one that is as intelligent as its ANGRY and STARVED for light/its former glory. Even if she can't hurt/kill Arial and his own or disobey a direct order, and can be slapped around like silly do to being so diminished to an insane degree, she can find plenty of ways to make life interesting for the madman. Future Cyrus could tell you stories about how much controlling a Legendary can backfire tremendous, let me tell ya!

Life does go on, however, and its not like Arial/Spiritmon will have to directly deal with Necro's Actions for quite sometime since the credits will be rolling soon. So yeah, all's well that ends well!

There is one other detail the anime altered concerning Necrozma's backstory.  In the anime, Necrozma lost its light not because of humanity's greed, but because of its own benevolence.

It used its own body to prevent a meteor from impacting the world below, saving countless members of the Poipole line that lived in that particular Ultra Space at the expense of its body being shattered by the impact, dispersing almost all of its power and reducing it to a much less powerful form.

Either way, though...Necrozma is a near insane, primal being that will do anything and everything it can to regain its former glory, including absorbing the other members of the Light Trio and all the light in the world, regardless of how it lost its power.  It is violent, almost impossible to control, and retains much of that personality even in its Ultra Form if it isn't fully restored.  Any being that opposes it ends up incinerated by its light, and the only opponents it respects are those that can truly face it on 'equal' terms.

And Arial is now effectively tugging them around on a leash.

If that ever backfires on Arial, you can bet that the consequences are going to be tremendous.

But until if and when that day comes...nothing to worry about!  Probably.  Maybe.  Or at least, you'd hope so.

For now...well, let's just hope that this power will be used (semi) wisely:

Yeah. But Arial already did crazy choices before right? Keeping a Living Nuclear Reactor. Saving a Bug Vampire. And most of that crazy choices ended up very good in general. Its still a interesting sigh to see in the future.

But for now...lets see the credits coming, and bring some PMs to be answear. Gonna bring either today or tomorrow Dragonstrike, since I want to relax a while after such session of Post after Post.

Also @Dragonstrike, do you have another epic poem end up with the chained Necrozma, Gaspar Solgaleo, along with other things?
