[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
#91
Upon seeing the intersection, Pyra wanted to continue on going straight ahead, if for no other reason than she didn't want to possibly get turned around down in this cave system. Smart as may be in some aspects, that Intellegence doesn't preclude having a stellar sense of direction, especially in the dark with no means to keep trap of progress made besides pure memory!

However, Kee impiously choose to immediately go the other way and everyone else followed for one reason or another, which left the wee lil' demoness a bit out of sorts and dispirited, since she was the one that had been leading the group and lighting the way up until now. Being the chipper sort she was, the brimstone imp didn't let that get that down for very long, and was merrily skipping after her allies, partners, and friends with renewed glee. From this event, she learnt yet another important lesson: in a group, it is not always just one that leads. Quite the contrary, if their are a lot of contrary and strong personality among the collective whole!

Karen's decision to spurn her offer to ferry them around was a most pleasant one for Pyra, as she greatly admired and enjoyed seeing the sparkling fae being so bold and confidant to walk alone. That, and it meant she could keep her claws free for tricks and tasks on the trail, and be forced to scatter and drop the smo lil' empath like Spikes on a field!

Turns out the star-eyed punk intuition was spot on, for they ended up leading the whole group very nearly to the exit of the cave they awoke in, causing her to grow very eager and very excited as she first glimpsed the sunlight from beyond! She was quite comfortable enough in the darkness of the stony domain, given her inherent Dark nature and her Flames ready to shed light on anything she pleases, but the thought of basking under the glorious solar power of this world's star, her new world's star filled her with a strong sense of wonder and glee that demanded she'd charge right out into it and reveal in its splendor for all the while she can! Plus, exiting the cave would naturally lead her and her allies to getting started on their Quest, something she was also extremely eager to see started and done!

The phantom brave's shrewd observation about there possibly being more treasure in these caves along the other path at the intersection was a most tempting Insight for the playful fiendess, though, and it didn't take much dwelling on it for her to start bobbing her head in agreement to the idea despite Karen's and Dax's objections to it.

"Good idea, yes, a fine and noteworthy vision you have, Phantom Warrior Kogeki! We need ample finery and spoil for our toils in futures short and far flung, on our quest against the Darkness, so hunt, scour, and search every nook and cranny for goodies we must!"

"Indeed. And we must consider we might stay in this world for a while, so any resources is vital for us. And any fight we do make us closer to increase our strength."

"So there is 2 votes to go back the cave, and 2 votes to not go. It's is a tie." Kogeki look at Kee. "Your vote to end this tie Kee. Should we go back to the cave and get the other path to find more loot and treasures? Or should leave behind?"

(I also willing to join you Windos in the splitting group to get more resources if you go too. Any resources is important in this quest.)

Onwards that twisted path they go, with Kee eagerly following Karen who walked on ahead and all while pulling that/his guitarbag-thingy along. Shoot, it is definitely suited for a human and NOT for a small coon he is now, as soon as the opportunity arises he really really needs to grab a bag that IS suitable for a Pokemon to carry around comfortably.

A sudden glimpse of SUNLIGHT at the end of the corridor as well as Karen's instant excitement derails his train of thought, and he makes amends to run towards that sunlight with eager, joy and smirk laughter - though since he's dragging that guitarbag full of stuff along, all he can do for now is walk instead of run, and so he's efficiently prevented from outright charging OUT of this dark cave and INTO the world of Pokemon full of curiosity and wonder about what may await him there!~

Kogeki's words about not yet charging into said world and instead opt to explore this daaaark cave a little more gets him a frown from Kee - that is, until he mentioned that magical word 'loot'. NOW Kee's all ears!~ "Huh well, I much rather get outta this cave 'n see what's outside, but... Urrggghhh, ya had me at 'loot' and 'potential treasure', and I wanna fightfightFIGHT yes I WANT, let those foes come, I must get back 'nto shaaape!!"

To vent some of his innate eager to battle he chases his own violet tailtip for a bit.

Then he slumbs down and takes a deep breath. "So yeah, let'sa go 'n see what's ahead that other path... AFTER we've made sure that we've marked tha way that leads us outta the cave so that we won't miss it." Kee will do so by scratching the tough wall a bit in an attempt to leave some faint marks as well as rub his bristly back fur against it, that's how his species usually marks their territory. Where Kee knows this from he doesn't know - must be his new instinct as a Pokemon.

Then's he's ready to track back that twisted path and see what's ahead the other way.

Kogeki nod his head, satisfied for able to check out the cave once more. Its the closes thing he have for a smile (but he is smiling inside). "Excelent. Dont worry Dax and Karen, I promise to guarantee your safety in our way back. You have my word I will make sure your protection to make up for back track our path. But...if we trully going to stay together in...whatever this situation is, getting as much resources and loot need to be one of our goals."

Kogeki take the lead this time. "Lets go. This time I will be the target of whatever enemies is ahead of us. Might need your light here Pyra. And your super insticts will be useful Karen so you going forward with us."

Karen reluctantly agrees to backtracking to do a little more exploring.  "...aaaawwww...okay, fine..."

Back to the fork in the corridor everyone goes!

*rolls*

When the group reaches the fork, Kogeki senses something lurking in the darkness.  Two somethings, in fact.  They're trying to stay hidden in the sloping corridor that leads to the large room where Spinarak was. However, since Pyra's not leading the way, it's too dark right now to see what they are.

Kogeki raise his paw and stop everyone in continue. "There is something here. Two things to be more precisely. They are trying to stay Hidden in slopping corridor where Spinarak was. What you think people? Should we go back to the entrance, or fight against them? We could formulate a plan to launch a surprise attack."

Pyra makes a 'thinking pose' at the dread anubis' question, tapping one claw on her chin while the other rested on her belly, before shaking her head with a smile.

"No, no, to both solutions you propose. If we flee, they will just follow after us, but if we go on the attack they with most certainly lash back. Think it is best we go where we intend (The path straight from the sloping corrender, IE where the Poisonous pest lay), and leave those that lurk in the Dark to their own ends. Already we are aware of them, so if the choose to stalk and pursue us to vile ends we be well prepared for dem. That, and Ziggy Kee did say that 'attacking first and unprovoked' was most bad, though I still do not understand why that is."

If enough of her allies agree to her plan, she'll take the back of the group so that she can light the back of the way and keep careful watch if those dark stalkers try to follow after the group. She'd also happily and affably say to 'them' (the mysterious beings) that they know they are there and that she nor her group means them harm, but if they approach later will ill intent they'll get some right back. Either they'll listen to her, be spooked off by her Intimidating presence + her and the group being aware of them (and that she'll be keeping watch just for them), or just attack if they were going to try and Ambush the group later, so the warning is not really all too bad of an idea overall.

Also, if Kogeki would be fine with it (and if it's possible), she'd ask for him to take that Small Amount of Spider Silk he has, wrap it around his small pointy blade (she doesnt know what it's properly called) so that she can light it and make the dagger a makeshift torch. If that works, the group now has double the light sources, at least for a short time!

I think we should be cautious. There might be someone there, but they might not necessarily be aggressive. We might just rumble a couple of scared dudes.
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:

Ohhhh, hearing from Kogeki that there are 'two somethings/ones' makes him smile slyly and take a position as if he was about to POUNCE, his inner Pokemon wants to run straight ahead and prove them into a fight.

However, his inner human clashes with this and makes him look over to Karen instead. "Soooo, they might either be curious followers or mean foes up to ambush us - are ya able to feel or sense any hostility from 'em, Karen?"

Depending on whether she does or not, Kee will react accordingly. If she DOES sense hostility, one can be sure that Kee would want to battle!
