[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
Pyra has no comment about the scene, though she looks rather curious and intrigued by the sight of Chimical and Solosis and what they had to say. She also doesn't look too upset or riled up unlike Marcus, still smiling faintly after all was said and done but now quiet as she mulled over everything told and untold. While she greatly admires the bone-clad craftsmon, she isn't so invested and bonded with that she'll automatically consider anyone they don't like enemies. That, and she's in the dark about the red feline, floating green blob, and Marcus' overall history together and apart, so she's not going to be so hasty to cast judgement on any one side until she has learned more.

Kogeki was a bit silent for a moment. He didnt have anything to say, but he give that Solosis and Chimical a nasty glare. When they finally get away, Kogeki finally say. "I guess thats not gonna be the last time we see them. Lets just jus get out of here. With some luck we might find some Wild Pokemon to fight. I really want to strech my limbs against some enemies. The more foes we might, the stronger we become. Lead the way Kee."

(Also ready to go forward!)

Kogeki (who was behind Daxter) had now the time to speak). "I think for now thats not the best path for us to go. That Solisis might now be a big deal against 2 Dark Types and a Ghost. But it can still give us one hell of problems. Not to mentioned that Chimical...he could either poison us or burn us. And even if we defeat them, we could be in bad shape for other battles. For now, we need to avoid those two as much we can, and gain strengh enough to beat them."

"Dont worry Daxter, I pretty sure we will find a good sparing battle very soon."

Kogeki also ask Marcus. "So...they know you Marcus? What they mean they get the loot "fair" and"square"? You were a explorer too once?"

Marcus continues to glare at Team Artificers's members as they walk off.  "...let 'em go.  They're stronger than they look.  And I doubt it's just the two of them, too.  They probably have a third member lurking around somewhere."

He sighs when Kogeki asks how he knows those two pokemon.  "...I'd rather not talk about it right now, if it's all the same to you."

Once the two are out of sight, the Cubone tries to refocus.  "Alright, let's get back to what we were originally doing: finding our way out of this place.  Kee, if you would lead the way, please."

--------------------------------------------------

At the end of the corridor, the group finds a slope with only a few trees on it.  There are two things of note in this room that Kee sees.

1) There's an Apple growing from the branches of one of the trees on the slope.  It's hanging just out of reach, however, so you'll have to think of some way to get it down.

2) On the ground is what looks like some easy to collect shiny coins with a P engraved on them!

Marcus has a little bit to say about both, and he seems happy to do so.

"You wanted to know where to get more of those Apples from, Kee?  Well, there ya have it!  Sometimes you can find them in Mystery Dungeons!  That one right there looks rather fresh, too!  When we get back to town, if you don't particularly need to hold onto a Fresh Apple for yourselves, you could sell it to the shops for a decent amount of money!  If you don't sell them quickly, though, then the shops won't pay you as much for them*.  But keeping them has their advantages as well, since that's food you can store and don't have to pay for later."

"And those coins on the ground over there?  That's the currency we use: Poké!  We're not entirely sure why it shows up in Mystery Dungeons, but a common theory is that it was dropped by adventurers who got lost or were defeated.  It's usually too much of a hassle to try and go back to retrieve lost items from Mystery Dungeons, though, so anything you find while adventuring is generally fair game!  That looks like a stack of around $100, so it looks like we got lucky this time!"

"Go ahead, take the money!  Divide it up among yourselves however you like!  A group fund might not be a bad idea if you're planning on sticking together, but there are advantages to keeping track of funds of your own, too."

As soon as Marcus says the words 'shops' and 'currency', Karen makes sure to pay extra special attention to everything he says.

"It doesn't usually take much effort to carry Poké around, but larger items like that Apple will definitely be more difficult to carry**.  Anyone have a free hand?  You're going to need one if we want to take that Apple with us, assuming we can get it down from that tree branch.  I have some room in my rucksack if you all have too much stuff to carry already, and I'd be happy to hold onto it until we get to the town, but make sure you're keeping track of how many items you can carry at once.  It's never fun having to choose which items you want to leave behind to make room for the ones you found in the Mystery Dungeon. And if you don't have a bag of some kind, that means you're probably going to be carrying everything by hand. I can make you all some basic rucksacks like the one I have when we get to town, though, so I wouldn't worry about that for too long if I were you!"

------------------------------------------------

*GM's Note: Fresh Apples become normal Apples if they are not sold before the end of your first day back in town after an adventure.  Fresh Apples sell for significantly more money than a normal Apple does.

**GM's Note: Similar to how it functions in the PMD games, most items will take up 1 full inventory slot and cannot be stacked [there are a small handful of exceptions, though], and money takes up no inventory slots.  If I remember correctly, everyone except Pyra and Kee currently have their hands full with carrying their own items since they haven't put them in some kind of bag or storage, so Karen; Kogeki; and Daxter won't be able to carry the Apple.  Once you get to the town, you'll be able to obtain a basic bag of some kind to store a few items in so you can all carry more.

Dax stared up at the apple. Food was important. They just needed to find a way to get it. He looked over at Kogeki. He looked fairly agile and his kunai could be used to cut the apple off the branch. That would probably be the best way.

"I don't think my claws are gonna make me a good climber. Kogeki, you look like you're plenty quick and agile. Maybe you can get up there and cut the Apple down? If it works, we can put it in Kee's bag for safe keeping. As for the money, I'd say we should put twenty aside for a group fund for emergencies and stuff like that. We can split the rest equally. We've gotta be careful with this kinda stuff. We can't fight because we're the only ones who can back each other up."

Kogeki listen to each word of Marcus. He look at the tree and then to Daxter. "I suppose I can try. I might be able to reach the Apple with Quick Attack."

Kogeki equipped his Kunai in his hands. He approached the base of the tree and take a deep breath. "Quick Attack!"

His speed double and he try his best to get to the Apple.

Action: Use Quick Attack to get the Apple.

Kee shakes his fuzzy Ziggy-head about this, but at the same time he smiles a smile that's so SLY and MISCHIEVOUS that it's almost scary to look at; he seems pretty determined. "And risk our own health by doin' so? Nah, we're in no tha best position t'fight 'gainst them - not yet, that is!~~ I'm totally sure we'll meet 'em again sooner or later, 'n it might turn out useful that we let 'em go this time. Ya see, Dax, I rather fight 'em for some loot than just for tha sake of fightin'...."

"They... tot'lly didn't care that we'd outnumber 'em, which hints that they either have reinforcement as in more members 'round, or are pretty cert'in of their power - or both. Nope, would 'ave been too risky to just challenge 'em." Kee thinks that was the right decision, and he even feels  a bit proud about having gotten out of this situation safely.

And so he leads the others down that corridor into the next room.
As they go, he can't help but to reflect on that badge one of those two were wearing that excited him so much...

Ohh, and that room was quiet the sight! - A tree with only 1 Apple growing on one lone branch because logic, and free cash laying around! Kee's just going to accept this all as 'Because this area is a Mystery Dungeon', he's way more interested in what Marcus tells about this found loot.

About that Apple: He highly approves about the plan of Kogeki quickattack'ing up the slope and trying to cut the branch with the Apple of just cut the Apple off the branch! If that doesn't work, he'll ask for Pyra to try grabbing/catching the Apple with the spiderweb she collected earlier and pulling it down. If that doesn't work either, he'll suggest for the team member who's physically strongest of them all to carefully toss the lightest and most delicate team member up the branch to grab the Apple.

A sold Fresh Apple means more cash to spend on more food supplies - but it also means not having to continue the way hungry shall the trip through Dry Forest take much longer than believed. For now however, Kee opts to draw that Big Nugget he has been asked to carry in his guitarbag by Pyra and hand it back to her with the words "So, since yar hands are free (as in 'not carrying Karen around, which was the reason for Windos asking me to hold onto Pyra's Big Nugget), mind to get a hold of your gold yarself again please? Otherwise I'm not havin' room to store that Apple, 'n I rather not run around in an unknown area with food in anyone of us's hands, ya see...."
(--> Or alternatively Kee holds onto Pyra's Big Nugget and she carries the Apple as a Held Item. Or Kee does so as this slot of his is still free since that guitarbag taken an Accessory Slot, not the HeldItem-one. Regardless, 1 Item must be swapped in his guitarbag as there's no room to just store an additional in it right now)

And for that cash, Kee's fascinated that the Pokemon know how to make use of cash and currency! These coinds are so pretty and shiny, he can't take his eyes of them... Saving a bit as a 'group fund' like Marcus suggests and Dax seconds is a very good idea, and the rest can be split equally between them all: That means 15$P as group fund, and 15$ for each of us. (With 20$P as group fund it'd be 16$P for each of us, which seems somewhat odd - with 15 it's all equal.)

Also Kee makes a mental note to get a small extra-pouch or -glass to store cash in it.

Since I really don't have much to say about things, I'll keep things brief here: Pyra would indeed agreed to take back her Big Nugget, Kee's way of dividing the Poke between the group (Get $15 Poke!), and is okay with Kogeki's attempt to getting the Fresh Apple! As for what is to be done with the F.A. , she's of the mind to save it for later rather than selling it, as right now the group doesn't have a stable enough source of income and experience necessary to try and get grub through non-random means. If they desperately need to buy something, they have their Big Nuggets to trade and barter with!
