[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
Ghost Maze 1, Round 3

Quick Attack
(3)(5)(3)(1)(3)(2)
(2)(2)

Bite 1
(3)(1)(1)

Ember 2
(5)
(3)(5)(6)(6)(4)(1) Kogeki takes 4 damage and faints
(-)

Kogeki trades a series of blows with Torracat, both of them struggling to land a meaningful blow on the other, but in the end, Torracat gets the upper hand.  One good hit from the cat's Blazing flames, and Kogeki's blown backwards into a pool of water.

Before he completely loses consciousness, he hears one last remark from the tuckered out kitty.  "...told ya...I'm better...don't think I'll forget you, though...you almost cost me...this victory..."

Kogeki still gets 1 exp for participation.

------------------------------------------------------------

Kogeki is roused some time later by Poliwrath.  "Heard what happened in there from Misdreavus.  I'm impressed.  Holding your own against an evolved pokemon like that is no easy feat.  You ready for a second round?  There's three challenges in total, and it doesn't matter whether you win or lose.  You'll get your compensation after you've helped with all three."

Lumia shifts uncomfortably as Pyra talks to her, hesitating before she responds.  "...noooooooo, my fiiiiiiiirrrrrre iiiiissssss oooonnnnlyyyy spreeeeeadiiiiinnnngggg toooodaaay."

Bug Maze Room 3

Pyra and company move on to the next room in their maze, where they find two Bug type pokemon curiously looking at a seed with a sprout poking out of it.  At first glance, it looks very similar to a Tiny Reviver Seed, but upon closer inspection, the sprout is more developed than the tiny equivalent.  It's a larger Reviver Seed!

This being the Bug Maze, though, it doesn't take long for the two Bug types, a Wurmple and a Karrablast, to notice the trio of challengers approaching.  The Intimidating smile that Pyra's giving them causes them to hesitate slightly, but they prepare themselves for a fight.

At the other end of the cobwebbed room, another single, closed rock door stands.

Initiatives
Karrablast: (6) + 3 = 9
Pyra: (6) + 2 = 8
Karen: (5) + 2 = 7
Litwick: (4) + 3 = 7
Wurmple: (5) + 2 = 7

Mantyke seems more than happy to talk about themselves when Daxter asks about how they took his attack.  "Oh, that?  Absorbing water is just something I'm able to do naturally.  Doesn't work on natural pools of water, but a few sprays of damaging Water moves from my friends, and I'll be right as rain instead of unconscious!  It's really handy!  Good luck with the rest of the training!"

Flying Maze, Room 3

Daxter, Kee, and Klink move on to the next room, where they find a pair of bird pokemon squabbling unintelligibly about something.  Whatever argument they're having, though, they stop talking about immediately when they hear challengers approaching.  Both Spearow and Tailow start chirping angrily at the strangers as soon as they enter the room.

Just like with the other group, there's a single, closed rock door behind the pokemon, but there doesn't appear to be any items on the ground in this room.  Just the sound of the wind rushing through the corridors and stone grinding on stone as the door the trio just came through shuts behind them.

Initiatives:
Daxter: (3) + 4 = 7
Spearow: (3) + 3 = 6
Kee: (2) + 3 = 5
Tailow: (1) + 3 = 4
Klink: (2) + 2 = 4

Dax frowns in thought, and then blasts a Bubble at the Mantyke. "Uh, I hope it doesn't hurt you when I do that. You said it seems to help, and we did just beat you up, so I was just trying to heal you. Good luck with the next fight. See you around, mate."

The Tailow and Spearow fighting causes Dax to grin cheekily. "Lovers' tiff? Oh well. Let's get this over with, guys. Go for the Tailow, Kee. And Klink, go for the Tailow too. If that one's down, just zap the Spearow. Easy enough right?"

Daxter repeats his standard series of attacks, hoping to blast both of the twitters out of the room as he sends a stream of bubbles at both of them before attacking the one who looks weaker with a Scratch.

Bubble on Tailow and Spearow, and then Scratch on the one with lower HP.
Bubble Accuracy: 2d6 Dex + 2d6 Fight + 1d6 Channel - 0d6 Pain = 5d6
Bubble Damage: 3d6 Special + 2d6 Power + d6 STAB = 6d6
Scratch Accuracy: 2d6 Dex + 2d6 Fight + 1d6 Brawl - 0d6 Pain = 5d6
Scratch Damage: 2d6 Strength + 2d6 Power = 4d6
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:

Pyra is still moderately annoyed with the Litwick's persistent fear of her, but she doesn't let it show as she continues to smile and simply nod back to them before glancing back at Karen briefly. She has noticed her typical behavior around 'outsider' Pokemon tends to put them on edge (well, everyone in the group, but especially them), so she's curious to see how they are receiving her 'softer' approach towards the melty soulspark. Perhaps later she get their opinion on Litwick and their moodiness towards her; they were most Insightful when it came to the nuances of a Pokemon feelings. Something that often escaped her, just as often to her frustration.

In any case, she'd bid the Litwick to rejoin her (Pyra) smol fae friend and beckoned them to join her forward to the next room. When they got their and meet their latest training quarry the lil' fiendess brightens considerably, even as the general atmosphere of the room darkened when she bared that oh so joyfully impish smile of hers.

"Karen, Litwick, take care and subdue the wiggly Wurmple with Confusion and Ember, oh would you please. This brave Karrablast...."

Her unholy attention focuses on aforementioned entirely, and she purred out her next words.

"They're mine to deal with, to play and enjoy them all for myself, oh yes yes yes."

She bolted towards the forked beetle, her mouth now wide open and sparks of devilish fire leaking out as she bared down on them.....!

Orders: Karen and Litwick will tag team Wurmple into the ground with Confusion and Ember respectively (Single Action from each), while Pyra attempts to solo Karrablast with Bite and then Ember (The later via a kiss, if possible!). If she manages to get - 1 Pain from the Bug, spend 12 XP to increase both her Brawl and Channel Specialty by 1, to a total score of 2 for each. Let the extermination of insect recommence!

Moves:

Bite
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Brawl (1) - 2 Actions = 4D6 Base Dice
Damage: 2 + 2 + 1 = 5D6 Base Damage
Effect: *Flinch 3*

Ember
Accuracy: 2D6 Base Dice
Damage: 5D6 + 1 Damage
Effect: *Burn [1] 1*

Kogeki try his best. He try use his speed. Trying to deal the last hit against Torracat. Punchs. Kicks. Everything he could do to defeat his enemy. Even if was not a battle about life and death, win to him in this moment was important.

But in the end...he was not able to do it. Torracat flames was enough to black out the lights of Kogeki. He fall to unconsciouss.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

He wake up still with agitated by the last fight. When he heard from Poliwrath he loose in the fight against Torracat....

"GOD DAMN IT!"

*BAM*

Kogeki punch the closest wall in frustration. Not just because he loose on a fight of 2x1. But because he loose twice today. Its not exatcly something a pride warrior like him could take very well in his mouth. Yeah, we all have our wins and defeats, but loosing fight after fight on a roll doesnt exatcly shove well in someone throat. After Kogeki vent his frustrations he found some chair to sit down and try to calm down. He was looking at the ground, frustrated by another defeat.

When he heard Poliwrath offer about another fight, he almost give up and call a day...but he them remember he still need more experience with his body. "It's not like I have a choice. I hope this next be worth of my time."

See you people next month.

As the two birdos ANgrRlY!!1! approach them all while chirping and twittering, Ziggy Kee lowers his body, bristles his fine fur and hisses at the flyers just as ANgrRlY!!1! A quick glance and sing-sang'd "Got it, got it!~" to Dax later he is pouncing head-first with everything he's got at his defined prey: Smol Taillow!! "STAHP makin' such a noise there pwease, will ya? Or do I have t'shut yar beak?"

Accuracy Roll: 2 Dext +2 Fight + 0 Brawl + 2 Single Action Bonus = 6d6
Damage Roll: 1 Strength + 3 power + STAB = 5d6
Additional notes: Has 3CD to flinch the foe. And may knock the bird from the air to the ground.

Mantyke swims a few laps around the small pool when Daxter blows more Bubbles at them, seemingly a little less worse for wear.  "Yay, water!  Thank you thank you!  And bye now!"

------------------------------------------

Both birds round on Daxter at that comment, now chirping and chittering at him quite angrily!

Flying Maze 3, Round 1

Bubble 1 (don't forget the multiaction penalties)
(6)(1)(2)
(6)(5)(3)(6)
Tailow and Spearow take 3 damage! 2/5 HP -2 Pain
(4), (2)

The bubbles nearly floor both birds, but they both get back up and start flying straight at Daxter!

Peck (Spearow)
(5)(1)(2)(5)
(5)(2)(3)
Daxter takes 1 damage 4/5 HP

Before Tailow gets anywhere near Daxter, though, Kee intercepts it with a Headbutt!

Headbutt
(5)(1)(4)(4)(5)(4) Critical hit!
(4)(6)(4) | (4)(2) Tailow takes 4 damage and faints!

Tailow goes flying across the room after that blow, and not of its own choice!  They collapse as they hit the ground.  Meanwhile, Klink is taking advantage of Spearow being distracted, spinning their gears to build up static electricity.

Thunder Shock
(4)(1)(1)(4)(2)(4)
(3)(1) Spearow takes 1 damage 1/5 HP -3 Pain
(1)

One more attack from Daxter's claws, and this battle is over!

Scratch 2
(6)
(4)(1) Spearow takes 1 damage and faints!

The room gets much quieter as the two birds faint, until the lone door at the opposite end opens with the sound of stone grinding against stone, and the wind begins to pick up speed, noisily blowing through the tunnels.

Daxter, Kee, and Klink all get 2 exp.  (Oh, and when you progress to a new room, you also naturally recover 1 HP, just like if you were in a Mystery Dungeon)

Bug Maze 3, Round 1

Karrablast lunges towards Pyra as well, their little arms waving wildly as they strike at the Fire type over and over again!

Fury Cutter 1-2
(5)(2)(1)
(1) Miss
(1) No damage

Pyra Bites back, unfazed by the blows!

Bite 1
(6)(1)(1)(5)
(6)(2)(3) Karrablast takes 1 damage 4/5 HP
(6)(5)(3) Karrablast Flinches!

"I think I've got a better idea, Pyra!  I don't want to face these Bugs for longer than necessary!"  Karen once again uses her Fairy powers to amplify the strength of her voice!  This is a good situation for the move!  (Karen isn't exactly a full NPC, so she might have different actions in mind than the rest of the party)

Disarming Voice
(5)(6)(3)(5)(2)(6)
(6)(6)(3)
Karrablast takes 2 damage 2/5 HP -2 Pain
Wurmple takes 2 damage 3/5 HP -2 Pain

The Fairy move does significant damage to both Bugs, so all that's left is for the Fire types to finish the job!  Lumia once again listens to Pyra's suggestion this time in order to finish this battle quickly.

Ember (Litwick)
(5)(1)(1)(5)(6)
(6)(1)(3) Wurmple takes 2 damage! 1/5 HP -3 Pain
(2)

Having barely survived that onslaught, Wurmple flicks its tail, launching a stinger laced with Poison at the Fairy.

Poison Sting
(5)(2)
(1) Karen takes 1 damage 3/4 HP
(1)(2)(2)

"Ooooooowwwww....that hurt...Pyra, I might need a little help if this goes on for much longer!"

Fwooooosh!  The flames of Pyra's follow up attack burn bright as Karrablast tries to turn tail and run!

Ember 2 (Pyra)
(5)(5)
(5)(5)(3) Karrablast takes 3 damage and faints!
(-)

Wurmple starts backing away slooooooowly and silently from the battle once Karrablast goes down, casting nervous glances at Pyra and Lumia as it does so.  The single door at the opposite end of the room grinds open loudly, and the chittering of Bug types begins to get louder.  The single Reviver Seed sits in the middle of the room, completely unguarded now.

Pyra, Karen, and Lumia all gain 2 exp.
