.....You feel better, after a few moments. Still, a strange feeling prevades you. As if something happened.

Something.... beyond you.
yet ever so close

Eventually, one way or another, you realize what it was - in part, in whole

Somehow, someway, an Entire Day has just
escaped, slipped away away away
vanished on you.

Thankfully(?) - and after a few more moments to Will away those jitters - you soon learn that you didn't miss anything in that time frame - the odd question or subtle inquiry confirms you were all holed up during the day when the Hurricane Weather was at its roughest.
Nothing here, anyway
Well, save for Vernon, who somehow found himself waking up in the nest of the Big Dodrio he was attempting to tame the dAy before, who was snoozing away peacefully all the while.


[*]Still, you can't help shake the feeling that something Strange happened.



Every PC gains + 1 Will and 20 XP; every PC's Pokemon receives 10 XP (Flat, unaffected by multipliers) and a 2x Multiplier their XP for the next Encounter they participate in.
Every PC's Fortune increases by 1, and they gain the Trait TS ****** (Effect: Unknown?]


In addition to that....

@Dragonstrike : Upon checking your phone, you find that the message that Dodger left you has mysterious vanished - as if it never existed. Dr. Sada's is still there, but it has changed, somewhat - your Mentor doesn't want to meet you ASAP. Instead, the one who you previously made The Deal with over The Wandering Hurricane has requested a meeting with you immediately. Sada doesn't know why that is the case, but she mentioned the man appeared ghastly pale and almost to the point of Faint when he told her to pass the message along. The meeting is planned to take place in the Embassy you're in, in a separate meeting room reserved for the occasion.

Iron Leaves is still by your bed and underneath the cover, but when you check on her closely you find that she is 100% offline and unresponsive, but still functioning (Fainted, Full HP). Touching on your Bond with her, you get the faint sense that she was overloaded by something, and will need some time to Reboot before she is functional once more (1 Day). During this time she doesn't contribute to your Fortune Score, but can't be used in Encounters in anyway mechanically, beyond the act of using her body itself. 

Strangest of all, though, you find that she is cradling something in her hooves: A TM for Sunny Day (Two Uses Remain). The TM itself is also of special make and model: you can Imprint another Move onto it, if you either have the know how to do so or can find someone that can do the job for you.

@PhantomUnderYourDesk  : You wake up in your bed abruptly, and find that your Partner, Zephy, was completely and utterly Unconscious - nothing you do at all rouses her from the deep, deep slumber she was under. Which, judging by how bedraggled and uncomfortable she looks, was not a pleasant one. Zephy will be Unusable for 1 Day.

However, you do notice she is cradling two objects in her arms - A Heat Stone/Icy Stone (Your Choice) and what appeared to be a Card of some sort, pitch black and metallic that had a singular Silver Star upon it.

The rest of your Pokemon are 100% Healthy - Myra is in especially good spirits after a dAy of rest and relaxation with her most precious Master!

Lastly, you notice a pink letter resting on your nightstand - judging by that signature scent and glittering ink it was no doubt from Morgana. The message is surprisingly simple, but short - she is going to be busy most of this day, but is more than delighted to play host and company to you Tonight (After all your Encounters are spent). Something about being caught up in several important meetings and fulfilling some Favors, or so you can parse. 

@Redstone  From what you can tell you just spent a day Training and Bonding with your Pokemon, though how effective that was remains to be seen in full. Loyalty and Happiness has progressed for all Pokemon - including Bio Fang. You're also still at your date's house - you once again woke up sharing a bed with her, though getting out was easier said than done. While extracting yourself, however, you discovered something underneath your pillow : A Z Stone for what appears to be.....your Patron? It looks Fragile, however - you got one use out of it, you bet.

Trying to contact your Patron ends in swift and shocking rejection - from what you can feel from the Bond between you She was.....not feeling very well, to put it politely. Downright nauseous, to be blunt, which concerning Her is a very rare and alarming thing indeed! You will not have access to your Patron for the rest of the Day; on the up side, neither will She make any Requests of you.

@Spiritmon   : You wake up in the Coffee Shop, surprisingly enough! Turns out you 'apparently' spent the dAy helping out Tiffany and trying your best to Bond with the moody lil' Faffur, to some moderate amounts of success if the grumbling but quiet acceptance from the furry drago is any indication. + 1 Happiness with Fafurr; progress on Loyalty made. You actually feel closer to ALL your Pokemon, for some reason, which is baffling to you all but in the end you can only shrug it off...for now. Bond Strengthened with All Owned Pokemon!

You did get some surprising news from Tiffany, however: apparently they decided to redo your deal concerning Fafurr! The shop is willing to hold onto them Indefinitely until you can Work Up the funds to buy them and demonstrate you two can actually get along! You also don't have to work at the shop or do any Odd Deals with the crafty woman anymore - well, unless you want to, that is.

How wonderful! But when you asked why this was the case....

"*Rubs back of her head* Weeeell.....some lady did some favors for me and the Shop awhile back, and she decided to call one of them in for you. Said she felt their was potential most grand between you and the lil' drake - her words, not mine, though it's a sentiment I share. She also said she wishes to meet with you sometime soon, preferably today in the afternoon or evening. Just let me know when and I'll set things up for it here, alright dear?"

...Strange. Fortunate, but strange.

Lastly, you find something stuck on a window in the room you where resting in: a Spell Tag. Grants + 1 Damage Dice to Ghost and 'spooky' Moves, as well as making ANY Success (4, 5, and 6) result proc the Chance Effects of said Moves. Curiously, though, you find you can also use it yourself: it changes your basic Strike into a Ghost Type Move while also granting it + 1 Damage Dice (on top of the + 1 Damage Dice it gives) and gives a 1D6 effect to ignore a Target's Defense when dealing Damage.

@Mikaruge108  Nothing much happened with you, though Aaron 'apparently' worked you hard during the dAy of the Hurricane, your Mentor being notorious about not wasting any time and wanting to shape you up after the serious of rather Unfortunate Encounters you've been having lately. Double the XP gained you and your Pokemon gained at the Start of this Day.

That Feather also has mysteriously vanished - in its place giant Seed of some sort. You don't know what it does, but you get the feeling that Eating it would purify you in some way...

@Iron    As mentioned previously, you wake up with the Giant Dodrio as a cuddly nest mate - and with their Pokeball clipped onto your belt. Somehow, you managed to Bond and convince the giant bird to join your Team peacefully - though it took a whole dAy to do so (details on them coming later in the Meta Thread). 

You also find what appears to be a pair of Choice Specs rest on your head: this Item allows a Pokemon to repeat a Special Move of their choice multiple times in a single Round (Accuracy System still applies as normal) and raises their SPE by 1.5x, but in exchange locks them into ONLY using that Move for the rest of the Encounter and can quickly Exhausts the user (increased Inaccuracy Penalties). Sell Price is $25000 Poke.


The Weather for today is still quite bad, but nowhere as severe as the Hurricane Bayhama faced the dAy prior : Heavy Rain is in effect for the Day. There is no Penalties to exploring the City (unless otherwise stated in an Encounter), but people and Pokemon alike are still going to be scarce - don't expect a lot of Encounters involving either without heading to an indoor location of some sort or you're actively hunting for them. A few Pokemon or folk of sterner stuff and Rarer quality may still be out and about enjoying the Weather, however, the crazies!

He'd also offer Lani the Rare Candy he was saving, after the last few days she definitly earned it.

Upon closer inspection The Z-Crystal is specially for your Patron's Signature Move, and you have a Gut feeling you don't need Her to be Physically present to Use it. Heck, maybe not even a Z-Ring or similar, considering the Connection you share with your Patron. To Use it, simply Hold it up in the air and let go - its arcane POWER will do the rest. 

Roseli Berry Planted! Thems will make for good Anti-Fairy eatings, something your precious shimmering drake no doubt will enjoy later. Your Patron....not so much, but your not fool enough to give her them as an offering unless She specifically asked for them for some reason.

Lani looks at the offered Rare Candy for a moment, and you could see her furiously weighing the pros and cons of using it for herself, before she gave you a scrunched up look and tilt of her head. From what you can tell, she wants time to think about it - such a treasure could greatly accelerate her own growth, but she would be depriving other teammates that might get more out of it.

More common than you think - you see a few anglers and rough salt of the earth kind of men trying their hand at reeling in some more fiesty fishies that have gotten stirred up from the hurricane weather. You also see a few people surfing and diving with and without Pokemon too - Absol -lute Lunatones , but the sheer exuberance and flaggarant disregard for their safety is alluring enough.

The rough, almost raging seas also speaks to you on a almost primal level. Something about it beckons to you. 

Do not merely linger on the beach, the crashing waves seem to say.

Venture forth.

Take the plunge.

For the Following Fishing Encounter, you have Three Options on how you want to go about it:

1. Stick to the Beach and cast your line there. There will be a - 2 Penalty to catching this way, but you'll gain a + 1 to Rarity Rolls and have a greater chance of getting a Super Rod Encounter.

2. Go out to sea on Ecclesia and Fish on/with her - the sea drake would be surprised but more than willing indulge such a task, as she too is embolden by the stormy weather and the thrill it brings. You gain a + 2 to your Fishing Roll, + 2 to Rarity Rolls, and almost guaranteed Super Rod Encounter ; however, you'll be forced to rely on Only Ecclesia and Nalu for Fighting/Interacting with whatever you catch (They're best suited to braving the Seas). In addition you also have the chance of getting waylayed in a number of ways, if Nature, Miss Fortune, and a number of creatures eager to prey on those with a poor turn of Luck.

3. Take the Plunge - throw yourself to the seas, and let them take you where they may. Guaranteed Fortune/Strange Encounter of some significance; all else is Unown.

He's going to take the beach there, just for the purposes of leaving artistic footprints of each of his Pokemon in the sand and pouring plaster into the footprints to preserve them. "We'll compare these later and see how big you get!" he says, collecting each cast and handing them out to any Pokemon who is interested in holding them.

If you won't avail yourself of any of the services at the Kafe, then this would only qualify as a Bonus Encounter's worth of time.

On a side note: if you're still wearing the Choice Specs (Since I imagine Vern is the sort to just do so if they ain't bothersome), one of the staff at the Coffee Shop would notice and be willing to Trade for them - Pokemon, Items, Favors, etc.. Choice Items are fairly valuable and sought out Items, after all - you haven't known fear quite yet until you're facing off against a Focused Kingdra spamming Draco Meteors with Sniper precision!

At first he was hesitant, venturing into the primal sea without *her* support would no doubt be dangerous.

Wasn't it the point of this journey though to prove that he could handle himself even in dire situations? What would *she* think if he backed down from the first challenge without her like a coward.

He would beckon Ecclesia to follow him, her experience in the deep would no doubt be useful wherever it would take them. It was time.

Uhm... Whatever the heck has happened, Bernhard utterly fails to grasp or understand it. Last thing he remembers observing the stormy weather from his room at the Magi Embassy and sipping the blackest of tea there is, the next moment he awoke in the rooms bed abruptly. Hmm... Was it all just a dream or a delusion? ...Nope, it all felt way too real. The whole thing lowkey reminded him of that event in his young-adult-years that caused his wanderlust in the first place.

Either way, must be another ploy of Lady Luck, Miss Fortune and Father Fate. ...Yes yes, indeed it must be. Bern opts to just accept that and roll with it; after all they know the way. Next~


His precious mythical partner however, the poor state  she's in... It worries Bern. Massively so. Seems like she didn't take the recent events all too well...? And, uhm, where did she get...??? What happens when Bernhard tries to touch that card of some sort she's clutching? Not 'take it', just try to carefully touch it with one hand. The Icy Stone in her paws (I take you mean the Icy Rock, which extends the duration of hail? Aka not the evolution stone, yes?) - we'll leave it in her paws. For now, until Bern is able to question his trusty Mythic, she shall catch up on all the rest she needs, even if that means she'll be unavailable for the day. She's recalled into her Premier Ball.

A quick check-up on his remaining partnermon turns out just fine, good to know. Bern's delighted that Myra is in such a good spirit, she receives a gentle headpat. "We'll get to test out your new skills soon, just wait a little longer, will you? Good, thank you."

That pink letter on his nightstand - cue for a heavy sigh, what has gotten into him that he was the one contacting/inviting her instead the other way round??! ...However, after giving it some thought, maybe it wasn't all too bad. After all, there were things that needed to be adressed between them. And asked. And said. And done. All before he'll be off for another no-doubt eventful voyage through the region alongside the other chosen ones. ....... Bernhard feels VERY torn between dreading tonight and looking forward to it.

That Heavy Rain outside doesn't bother the Mage all that much - though it'd be more suited for the Water Scims than his Air alignment. He'll just cast some spell for water to be repelled from his robe while being outside, to help shield him from Rain, and he's good to go!~ Feeling a little vulnerable though without making use of the skills of Zephy, though it's surely pleasantly quiet without her nagging him? Sorta?? He finds himself missing it + her though after a while. Too used to one another they seem to be.

The first stop in town (Moderate Encounter) - is the local Black Market of Bayhama. Is it open today despite the heavy rain in the first place? Choice Items are fairly valuable and sought out Items, after all - you haven't known fear quite yet until you're facing off against a Focused Kingdra spamming Draco Meteors with Sniper precision!

Uhm... Whatever the heck has happened, Bernhard utterly fails to grasp or understand it. Last thing he remembers observing the stormy weather from his room at the Magi Embassy and sipping the blackest of tea there is, the next moment he awoke in the rooms bed abruptly. Hmm... Was it all just a dream or a delusion? ...Nope, it all felt way too real. The whole thing lowkey reminded him of that event in his young-adult-years that caused his wanderlust in the first place.

That Heavy Rain outside doesn't bother the Mage all that much - though it'd be more suited for the Water Scims than his Air alignment. He'll just cast some spell for water to be repelled from his robe while being outside, to help shield him from Rain, and he's good to go!~ Feeling a little vulnerable though without making use of the skills of Zephy, though it's surely pleasantly quiet without her nagging him? Sorta?? He finds himself missing it + her though after a while. Too used to one another they seem to be.

No reactions from interacting with the Card, nor do you detect any Magic or energy in it. So far as you can tell, it's completely begnin (if enigmatic) . 

The Icy Rock's effect simply doubles the Effectiveness of Weather and the Moves that interact with Hail/Snow - that Aurora Veil is going to be tanky, and so will your Ice Pokemon! You could also give it to Myra is you want alter how her Drought works....

Knowing Morgona, she was (and still is) no doubt thrilled and Tinkled Pink about your forwardness. Whether or not that'll have an impact on your meetings....oh, you DEFINATELY know it'll spice them up. Oh boy...

Since this is 'only' Heavy Rain, you can easily Magic Up some way to remain relatively dry and unbothered by the Weather, much to the envious and amazed looks of the very few people you pass on by while trying to search for the elusive Black Markets of Bayhama...

....You are, by and large, unsuccessful as you try and boldly sleuth around for a way to Dive into the seedy underground. People by and large are baffled by your inquiries, as if they couldn't believe a man of your standing would stoop so low to indulge in such shady business, or are very Skittish and panicking as they (think) you are trying to strong arm them into confessing things to get them arrested, in trouble, or on the hook for SOMETHING.

While Scimitars in Sutalor generally have a FANTASTIC relationship to Settlers, they're also by and large seen as HEORIC and Law Abidding (well, honorable in their own way) People. This means that the Criminal Elements of the society, while still holding a good deal of admiration and respect for you, also are extremely wary and reasonably nervous about getting your attention - well, at least until they find out they can Trust you. Considering you're fairly Anti-Social even by Scimitar/Magi standards, the fact that this slipped your mind (and may still do so, if you want to RP Bern being oblivious) is not surprising - Zephy has always been the social Butterfree between the two of you, for better and worse.

So far, so bust with the Search: you can either leave it for now and let this be a Minor Encounter (+ Information, ???), or come up with a more nuanced plan to trying and find the Black Market. Think back to when it was first mentioned to your character in-game if that helps come up with anything, and considering WHICH part of the City you want to search (City Map, looking for 'poor' or seedy areas). Lastly, you could try the Afterlife to get more info, which will continue the Moderate Encounter but abandon your current search for the Market for the time being.
