A good? reaction from Gloomy? Seems like activities including Ecclesia were a good idea. Having 2 female dragons on his side really was a blessing.


When it does come to fishing he'll surf out on her back onto the spot and then use a Good Bait to go for something nice and big.

If you probe the feeling of the BGD it seems like He has some in a fellow Dark Dragon, but at the same time it was overshadowed by the [F e a r] meeting with [i]her may entail.

"At this point, so many of the questions raised by my journey are so vague that I can tell what I should be asking about them. So I won't trouble you with them, unless maybe I find out more first. Will you be around long? If not, where are you going next? Maybe we could exchange numbers?"

"I've heard of tarot readers and such who can do a 'general' reading on a person who lacks specific questions. Is that your style?"

When the encounter is over: "I appreciate the crystal ball reading, thank you for opening your mind to the Universe on my behalf. I know it takes a lot even out of people who aren't connected to psychic powers." (true from my IRL experience)
Vern looks around for a jar or hat to put a modest tip into. ($200)

As usual, Vernon texts the party about this encounter, mentioning to Oz that their death had big ripples in the second world. He tells them if they visit the fortune teller that they should try to bring a Will restorative.

As he's leaving, he turns back suddenly. "Oh. One more thing. If anyone FUCKS with you for being Creshirean, call me. My friends and I will get there in a hurry to show any bastards what we think of bigots."

The man let's out sigh and rubs their eyes before nodding, pulling out his own phone to electronically share his Number.

"Nothing to apologize for. Seeing what Fate has in store for anyone can be quite taxing. More so for Elevated Ones such as yourself, but still it is something I have and will continue to grow used to. I plan to stay the duration of the Festival - 3 Days, at least, no more no less."

Your curiosity gets a chuckle out of the pointy nosed mystic.

"Somewhat akin to that, yes. Usually I simply have to Look at a person or Pokemon to get a good idea of what they Wish to See of their Fate. From there sometimes I have them touch my Crystal Ball to view what they Bring Forth, other times I hold their hand and Peer Within, etc etc..

Much as you are Lodestones and Beacons of Destiny and Fate, so to does your Brilliance blind and obscure much about you without Gazing Far. Your own gratitude and sympathy causes them to blink in surprise, which turns to goggling when you vehemently swear to defend him and his practice. Soon, though, a warm and touched smile graced his features, making him appear much more like the youngster he once was.

Minor Encounter Complete! Next is the Pokeathon, right? Or have you changed your mind? If not, Entrance Fee is $500 Poke, while participation is $1000 + a short demonstration of What Your Selected Mon is Best At to determine which bracket you fall into.

@Lord Windos What events in the festival are available that Oz and Seddi and their Pokemon partners could choose to have some fun there and just...vents things out? Do I need some kind of roll for that?

Hmm....the best place for a 'Sit down and TALK' would be either at the Koffee Shop or Afterlife Bar. The former has a cozier atmosphere and its own unique suite of services, but going there might risk Dite making a break for it and potentially some awkward conversations with the staff and Tiffany. The A.B. , on the other hand, at least has a variety of drinks and some Battles/Dancing to blow off steam, but it's not the most quiet place by default. Both have Private Rooms/Booths for sensitive conversations, however.

Alternatively, you could get you and Seddi a tour at the Ray's Weather Center, since it'll be pretty quiet with it being mostly closed off to the public and might prove to be an interesting distraction for you both seeing the Parks and gizmos.

Personally, though, I want you guys to choose your own Encounters, then leave any Conversations for RP between you two directly (without my direct input or oversight, like in a Encounter) that can just use a location as a backdrop like we did in Iron's Campaign (Pure RP = Taking No Slots). I want you guys to experience as much of the Festival has to offer and get to the good stuff ASAP, but if you want to take it slow then I'll slow my Pontyas.

And did a silly little wave, banishing it in a flash of that same energy that felt so, so wrong to your senses.

Upon this happening the Magi would immediately zone back in from wherever his mind drifted too, retaining his memories of the meeting....and abruptly realizing how WRONG it was as he blinked, looked around, and found he was at the very park the lox took him earlier to canoodle with Zephy....

....Aaaand speaking of which, the two of them where still going at it, even AFTER such a long conversation and who knows how long you spent in The No Thought Zone to try and ignore/block their fun out. How lovely.

The only thing of note was your Spritze, who happened to be out and was resting on your shoulder, dozing off in their own little dreamland....(...)

With a shard and audible breath taken Bernhard does wake up from.....whatever THAT was that he experienced. How he's still here in the forest, in that nest, back-to-back to Zephy + that Lox and ears covered, completely and utterly puzzles him. His current mood is quite literally this confused cat meme, or that confused math lady. He was absolutely CERTAIN he was talking with Seddi, as agreed and scheduled in before!! He could almost taste the tea and overly-sugary cookies too!! He can INDEED remember what has been talked about with the cowboy, and he INDEED has Sylvia's new phone number!!  (  °ヮ° )????? HOW DAFAQUE is that even possible????

.....Congratulation, you have managed to fry Bernhard's mind.


What he also definitely remembers is his mind drifting off and beginning to wander; perhaps from the sensory deprivation, perhaps because he was left all along with his thoughts and vivid mind, perhaps from being adamant on blocking out anything that's been happening around him. Was that some sort of out-of-body-experience, an astral journey, another aftermath from that joyful curse? The doing of whatever or whoever also caused that timeskip from before? WERE these events even connected? So many questions, so many wild and arcane things happening lately... Maybe he was indeed going crazy now, maybe he was just overworked, maybe he was just exhausted to his very soul. Or both. Yesyes, definitely both, he desperately needs rest, a long rest...

Smol Spritzee on his shoulder, dozzing off right there, receives a tiny nuzzle. That didn't help finding any answers though, but at least it provided some reassurance.

Oh right, and how Bernhard's trusted Mythic and that Lox were still going at it (NO, he did NOT take a look to check, or else he'd need a few gallons of eyebleach) - he actually didn't mind, we'll give them as muuuuuch time as they want or need! After all, Bern himself likes it lengthy~ and tenderly~ and utterly~romantic~~ and.... I should shut up now, shouldn't I.



Before we'll finally(!) return to our room at the Magi Embassi, we'll turn towards the tuckered out Umbrelong-Fox-Lizard creature again - about time we register 'em to a Pokeball, yay!~ Yes a Pokeball indeed, going to save the UlltraBalls for less willing catches. "Welcome abroad, dear...whatever you are. *stares*You do remind me of two specific Pokemon, so I'm just going to call you an Umbrelong for now. You also deserve a name... ...........   . . . . . . . . . . 'Equinox'. Or 'Nox', for short. Sounds good? Yes? That's great indeed~" (Feeling like an edgelord now, with having two Pokemon whose nickname ends with an x. With Umbrelong's gender being 'yes' and 'leaning into feminine', I'll follow your lead and address 'em with 'she' and 'they' until it bites Bernhard for doing so)

Seddi is not amused by Ralice's shenanigans, and gives Myra a thankful tip of his hat for her intervention.  He could have summoned Ceruledge, of course, but perhaps it was better that the Ninetales did the threatening this time.

The cowboy's still got some time (didn't use every encounter available), so Bernhard would find Seddi waiting at the Magi Embassy to deliver the beloved Ninetales back to their partner personally.  "Twas a pleasure to meet ya, Myra.  Bernhard, we need to talk 'bout what just happened.  Probably not now though.  Gettin' late, and I imagine you need some time after...whatever that was."

Bernhard almost jumps back and casts a maximally defensive spell upon meeting Seddi there at his room. He needs to catch his breath for a bit and collecting himself first and foremost! "Hmm, well... Whatever it WAS , it felt utterly real and most vivid. My sincere gratutude though for escorting my trusted Ninetails back to me, I'll rememeber that favour of yours." Myra receives a gentle headpat from her beloved Master.~

The cowboy's request to talk about it though receives him a look™, Bernhard hesitates. "Well there... You sure do like talking things over and getting yourself involved into things, do you not, dear Seddi? Maybe and mayhaps that will at some point lead you to digging your own grave; or biting off more than you can chew, if you allow me to be so blatant to you." He sighs deeply, his mind is still trying to process things. "I'm not too sure whether I WANT to talk about it in the first place. I need some time please. Some rest too... Once I made up my mind however, I will let you know. ...Please have mercy with dear me, and be patient."

"I'll be happy to schedule you in for a meeting though at some point, if you desire to ask Muse some questions - Under ONE condition however, please. *mild smile* You'll try my tea and cookies indeed, please. Which, considering how she prefers magically sending messages directly to you, was both strange and worrying from her. It simply read: I can't come tonight. Business was too messy. Will see you tomorrow first thing I can. Sorry, dear.(...)

Ah well (again), as if the day couldn't get any worse (._. ) If Bernhard wouldn't know better indeed, he would now be utterly hurt, worried at max, and request to see her immediately to make completely sure his most treasured yet forbidden love was alright and safe.

Instead however, she receives a message back, which reads the following:

A sort of....ethereal exhaustion, as it were.

If....that was the sort of thing that was going to be her norm?

She's uncertain that she is ready to handle it.

Not yet.

As she was recovering she 'thumbed' through her phone, thinking about what she wanted to share and discuss with others....when her eyes landed on the first number she inputted in her new phone.

The person that rescued her, and seemed to know what she need.

Her brows furrowed for a moment, thinking....

....Before she made her decision.

GROUP MESSAGE (TEXT): Greeting everyone....and good-bye. I regret to inform you that I won't be joining your group for the time being. After doing some reflection after Oz' recovery, I have come to realize that I am not yet ready for the Role I found myself in. Possibly ever, if I'm to be completely honest. The strange things, the looming destiny, and all the wild excitement....it is just too much for a simple Espeon like myself - well, not so simple, but I hope you get my point.

Maybe I am being over-cautious. Maybe I do not have enough faith in my abilities. Perhaps my most recent experience is overly impacting and shadowing my judgement.

I do know this for certain, though: I need more time. Time to recover, to think, and time to grow into my own. I could do it with you all, but....I don't want to hold you back. Especially at a critical moment, which I predict will be all too common.

So. I'm departing for the time being. I'll be staying with a new friend of mine, who'll help me 'Come into my own, exactly how you want.' Can't promise I'll visit or have visitors, but I can promise you this: I'll keep in touch. I'll try to give you updates on what's happening to me, and if you have any questions that can use my Insight or expertise I will try to get to them post-haste.

I'm sorry I'm leaving you all like this. I truly, truly wish I could stay and be a part of your guys adventure. I know without a shadow of a doubt you all will do great things...and that is in part why I must step down. I have to become the best I can be, before I can be the best for everyone.

THAT message actually came to a complete suprise for Bernhard. 'As if the day could not get any worse' intensifies, double and triple so. He ponders a while whether he untintentionally hurt her in some way (he doesn't think he did, there at Main Street - or did he...?), and takes a while remembering things and moments of the past few days with her. Their two's interactions may have been sparce, but for Bern, they were meaningful, and he did enjoy them.

Eventually, just before the Magus would FINALLY turn in for some much-deserved sleep, Sylvia does receive a text back, which reads the following:

...Speaking about meaningful: A special thank you for having made our event at Main Street (you certainly know which one I'm talking about) a treasured memory of mine. The fish looked to be on the easier end to catch but would it be enough? He had his doubts that a slightly above average Seaking would make it to the top 10.

Seddi nods.  "Oh, it was real all right.  But you may or may not believe me if I told you what it was.  Myra was confident we were talking to you directly though, and I'm glad she was right about that."

Seddi chuckles at Bernhard's comment about him seeming to like getting involved in matters, and that it might get him in trouble one day.  "Maybe it will.  Though right now, I think it's more like trouble is looking for us both.  I think we both need to be cautious."

He smiles at the comment about tea and cookies.  "With pleasure.  So long as they're actually there, of course.  Kinda hard to eat non-existent cookies.  Well, if that's all, I'll be off for now.  I need to check back in with the Professor."

Despite some of Seddi's statements appearing to be non-sensical, he seems to be completely serious about each and every statement he's made.

If you're letting go of the fish then Ecclessia is just going to *SNAP!* aaand chow down on it in a few meaty, messy chomps! Grisly, but if it satisfies her then why not let her indulge in her Dark side? A happy Dragon makes for a happy life, or so the saying goes around Dragon Masters.

....And discovered you caught a Magikarp. Well, not just any - this one was big. Like, H U G E. Damn thing was larger than you were tall, and one t h i c k  girl, easily dwarfing the Seaking you caught twice over.

(To give a reference, this Karp is roughly the size of a small couch, while the Seaking was maybe a little less than half that, and it is HEAVY)

The normally derpy species also seemed oddly fierce too - it was still trashing on the line despite being Caught and completely fearless of your Sea Drake, who was staring at it with the equivalent of a raised eyebrow.

Not exactly the most Rare Catch, but it is BIG and equally Unusual. Catch it? And if so, you want to weaken it first or just go for it to better Happiness/Loyalty ?

Moreso out of primal reflex then logical thinking about his chances he'd lob the Net ball at it immediately, he had to catch a karp that large. Contest or not he had to have it, that fish is bound to become either tons of money or a valuable team member.

DAY 7: THE DAY OF THE FESTIVAL!!!

I've been SOOO looking forward to that day and festival WOOOOOHHHHHOOOOOOOO~~*sound of utter excitement* ☆*:.｡.o(≧▽≦)o.｡.:*☆ I shall and will THE MOST of this day and enjoy it at max capacity, thank you for the serotonin, Windos! <3


Quite fittingly, with the +1 heartbeat Willpoint, Bernhard's Will is at 5/5, aka at max!! WOHOOOOO, he's SO ready for a day of excitement and a festival!! ...Sorta. He does still prefer quiet times and rest and solitude, but a bit of fun and festivities was very nice at times. A nice change of pace, he'd say. 


Gauntlet Stress has been reduced to 6 due to nighttime rest - or is it 12? I'm not too sure anymore, I should really keep better track of this - still not optimal, but good enough to cast a few spells if needed. And if it makes Bernhard's life easier. The joy of being a Scimitar!

What about Myra, Nirix and Spritzee being at 0/5 Will from the events of the previous day? Do they remain like this on the current day or are they feeling better in these terms too? (Asking to know how much I can do with them)

For Bern: You wake up in the Embassy....spooned between Zephy and your newest Team Member Umbrelong (What WOULD be a good name for this...minx), the later of which had you in a literal Grapple as they snoozed peacefully beside you. They/she felt quite cuddly, surprising - their/her skin was like sleek, furry scales that easily deformed to the touch, and they/she were pleasantly warm and emitted vibrations of sort that relaxed as much as they tingled. By now your Paralysis had cleared up (as was the right state of mind you were in) and Myra had been returned (what a frantic and almost tearful reunion THAT was), and the rest of your Mons were feeling better and Refreshed from a good night's sleep. Oh, better remember to get your Ingredients for the day from them too, if you deem them ready for extraction!

You got a message from Morgana, yet again a text: she said that she'll be ready to join you for an outing at around mid-day or so (Spend at least 1 Moderate Encounter and 1 Minor Encounter) , but that you shouldn't wait on her to 'fully indulge in summertime festivities of hardy recollections' . No message back yet from your Mentor either - which was not unusual, considering how busy he was and this time of year/recent events no doubt keeping him well distracted and thoroughly vexed.

Finally, you got a message and request from the Bayhama government of all people: they wish you come to the City Hall - where the Festival is officially and traditionally started from - and give a small speech as a sign of mutual solidarity, support, and honor/Happiness between the Settlers and Mageocracy to help kick things off. Given your station and rank as one of the highest ranked Magi and Scimitar in these lands it should come as no surprise that the city had the idea to latch onto your continued presence and try to capitalize on that to bolster relations and ease troubled minds. Whether you humor them or not is up to you.(...)

For the oh-so-calm and kuudere Magus, the day of the festival day starts... awkwardly and with max embarassment plus a mild surge of panic, given the situation/position he found himself in. (///_///; ) He would much rather be cuddling and spooning with Morgana now, wouldn't you know!!!!!

Zephy being cuddly is fine, Bernhard's used to that (and if being completely honest to himself, he enjoys it too) - but it's an entirerly different can of worms if it's a big chimera of a Pokemon that may or maybe not should exist in the first place. We're giving Umbrelong - 'Nox' - a look of disapproval that quite literaly conveys 'What the heck are you doing in my bed, huh?? (≖､≖╬) ', before... Uhm... Well, at second glance...? "Weeeellll.... "Clever move there indeed, very clever~" He's feeling utterly honoured about the invitation actually, his 'you flatter me so~'- senses are going off, why humour them for latching onto this opportunity!~ The Bayhama government receives a simple 'With great pleasure I shall come to the City Hall indeed, give me a bit of time to properly get ready please~' as a response. Double so if they reward him for granting them some of his time, but Bernhard's way to humble to ask for that directly. (Out of curiosity - will any of the party members actually come to see that speech? No hard feelings if not - just curious!~)

Making sure our Pokemon partners are in good condition, making sure they're fine and everything. WITHOUT the love and care that a Trainer would provide and display, because that is not what Bernhard is.

Time to gather magical crafting materials for alchemistic shenanigans from them too - 3 units of Toxic (Kitsune-)Sludge, and 3d6 of Veil Color from Nirix. Benhard's quite curious about Equinox too... Her/their saliva appears to be quite potent, would she/they let him collect some of it?

During collecting, now at least Nirix shall learn Sketch for 50XP - and promptly sketch Zephy's Blizzard. More icy powers, yes please.

Bonus Slot 2

USUALLY I would prefer to do something related to magic for this second Bonus Slot, like training some spells or tinker with my Gauntlet - but not so today. Nope, Bernhard needs and wants to do somethingelse - utterly and completely spruce himself up for giving a small speech at the City Hall and meeting with Morgana later!~ Like, the entire programme please: Shower, shave, perfume oneself, practice his speech and manners, pick his best Scimitar robe, et cetera.

Dear Zephy receives a small request too: She is asked to let her artistic skills shine and draft up a small speech for Bernhard to recite (just a few bullet points, he will fill the blanks). She shall spend a Willpoint on this, which will trigger her NoticeMe!-plotdevice and automatically grant 2 Successes if the drafting up of a speech will be rolled. We're all alone with our 'Mons, so no need to worry about drawing in all sort of attention now.
