[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands
Bernhard involuntary (and uncharacteristically) flinched away when Oz approached him, another clear sign that he felt vulnerable and defenseless. He calmly listened to her words, then he frowns. "But...I... I DID run away at first, now didn't I. I left you alone when that creature was born, when it threatened to drag both Darren and Akamu down. ...How can you STILL call me brave after THAT??!" He doesn't mean it in a scolding way, no, Bernhard simply can't fully understand it. Perhaps (most likely) he blames himself for this already. Him not being used to adventure nor to taking risks anymore (as Zephy put it) doesn't suffice as a explanation.

Regardless of that, and because her words do trigger his trademarked 'you flatter me so~'- senses, Bern would give Oz a handgesture of 'no big deal'. Then, in a confident voice literally brimming with a thirst for vengance: "Please do indeed...make that damn thing P A Y for what it did. Double so and beyond. Not only for what it did to me, or to dear Citrine.... But for what it did to the WHOLE city of Bayhama. ...That goes to...all of you."

Oz looked at Mr Bernard, and she…could understand his position. She felt just like the same way…as a coward, when she left her friends behind to their own deaths…She felt…terrible. Horrible even. And she still blames herself for what she did in the past, and she probably will carry this guilt until the day of her death.

And it’s because she once felt like she can’t let Bernard have this kind of guilt to devour him. “...Mr Samsara…Yes, you did run at first…But…It’s okay to feel fear. Yes, you made a mistake…but when the time comes once more, when you get a chance to fight again…you answer the call to arms. You came here to this battlefield, and already risked your own life, and helped Seddi defeat one of the Sandlossugeist servants. You and your companions helped us, and even now you are giving us the chance to fight back again by giving us your companions to help us.”

“I am just a girl who is learning now to wield this kind of weird power…But I learned one thing while traveling for a short time with you all: That true Bravery is not about the absence of fear. True Bravery is about having fear, and still having the courage to face the future headon.”

“And honestly? I scared. Terrified even…But deep in my heart, that as long as I have my sisters, my friends and the people I learn to love with me (either in person or in spirit) I know I will find bravery to face any danger ahead of me.”

"You already did more than enough Mr Samsara. You already show everyone you are a brave and kind man. And no one will make me change my mind. Not even you Mr Samsara." She gave the Arcmage a serious look to him, as if to make him challenge her statement.

Oz gives Bernard the most sincere and kind smile she ever gives to someone. And just like Bernard himself did in the past to help soothe Oz emotions…Oz will use Aromatherapy, giving him an aura of peace to help him regain his spirit.

Oz nods her head, and gently holds Bernard's hands. “Don’t worry Mr Samsara…I will show that monster the true power of Earthpower. And show him that the power of Darkness and Hatred will not win against the power of Light and Love. That’s a promise I will keep to you Mr Samsara.”

If it was not for their cowl obscuring their face you'd probably see much the same expression on theirs; the Magi's body language alone conveyed deep Pain, Exhaustion, unease, and anxiety. Replacing a Gauntlet, even a 'Wearable/Armor' type of lower grade as the one Citrine used, was not going to be cheap; if they didn't have the funds they'd be crippled for weeks, if not months if they decide to try and upgrade to a sturdier model. Hopefully their contributions from taking down one of the Land Whales will be enough on that front.

You get a tired, silent nod from the Water Scimitar as you speak, though they do seem to still at the level of respect you were giving a middling member like themselves, as if unsure they really deserve such high praise and respect. Considering they took down a Pseudo Tier Threat with only a Deicidueye for backup - at great cost, but still - odds are that their star would start to rocket up once word spread of their great deeds.

Well, assuming you all survive the night, anyway, but no need for negativity just yet.

"....May the waves carry you forth, and the darkness protects your way."

Remember Potion Effectiveness is still a thing in my campaigns - 1 Super Potion would get rid of 2 EL, but then diminishing returns kicks in as the 2nd SP only Heal 4 HP, while the Third would only heal 2 HP, netting you only 3.5 EL Damage Healed (Though I could see its/her basic Regenerator taking care of the rest) and her/them at 1/2 HP. If you want to use Potions you're better off using something like a Hyper Potion first to get as much HP Healing Down before P.E. kicks in or use non-Potion healing Items/means to bypass P.E. entirely.

Alternatively, if you're willing to do so, you could spare more XP from the XP you got from the Duo Leaders fight and upgrade its Regenerator for 50XP, the process of which  + the severe damage Nox has sustained will 'super charge' it into overdrive to rapidly regenerate and heal away their/her injuries as a 'One-Time Emergency Full Restore (Without incurring P.E.) . You'll have to stifle a bit more XP from Bern and delay whatever purchases you wanted to make, but on the other hand Wild Lands Regenerator is hella good and will serve Nox and Bern well now and going forward.

Regardless of how you go about Healing the chimereeve they are eager to return your affections, though they are remarkably gentle and carefully as they slither up and nuzzle their forehead beneath your chin and letting out a *Rumbling* purr-buzz. Sex is the last thing on its/her mind - she/they want to make sure you are safe and sound, THEN she/they want to find the monster responsible for all this and thoroughly irradiate it into glowing crystalized sludge

As such, you're command/request is meet with a firm nod, baring their glowing teeth and letting out a *ZzzzzSsssss!* that felt every bit wrathful as you over IT. They/she seemed reluctant to leave you despite their desire for VEGENCE, relatively defenseless and still recovering from your grievous injuries.. Still, they/she wanted to do something other than restlessly pace around you and generally being wroth with worry and ire over how things turned out. So off Equinox went, pairing up with whatever PC or NPC (if no PC desires her help) willing to have her/them tag along, with said person receiving your own instructions and general guidelines for the Mon's use (however much and however detailed it is).

---

You'd get word about Lunn's Fate ASAP, since you're in possession of one of her Mons and therefore  the doctors and a Ace Trainer (acting as witness) concerned with the matter wanting to confirm things about where this leaves the two of you (Bern and Steelene). In Sutalor, any Trainer that comes into possession of another Deceased Person's Pokemon has the right to Claim it for themselves, which includes situations where if said Mon was given for their use prior to the previous owner's passing. Often the Trainer turns the Mon over to the nearest next of kin of the deceased or gives it to receiving area (often getting compensate in both cases), but sometimes they simply integrate the now 'widowed' creatures into their rosters if they feel up to the task (or if greed overcomes them). Back in Hoen, though, any Pokemon of the deceased are automatically transferred over to their next of kin or - if their is no next of kin suitable for the Mons - taken in by the state to be either rehabilitated for government use or released into the Wilds.

Lunn indeed does have a their parents and younger sibling listed as their Next of Kin, but Hoen's laws (and most Cheshirian-Allied Regions, for that matter) on Mons don't apply here and their government isn't likely to raise a fuss considering the Coordinator decided to 'go against the grain' and make a (most verboten, by cultural standards) vacation to one of THE most dangerous places on Pokearth.

Let's put aside all that death business for the moment and address how the lil' bity bitey Mon takes your speech: they are indeed not terribly pleased with your confession, crossing their arms and giving you a pout. What was the point of bringing them along if you weren't even going to make use of her talents, one way or another?! Your apology does seem to mollify the creature, however, as they let out a disappoint sigh and simply nodded. Oh bother....she can't stay mad at this fellow. Not after losing a limb for a good cause, and certainly not after their prompt treatment and apologizes of the harm it caused her. Still not happy - she was so looking forward to demonstrating her flair on such a high stakes stage! - but understanding all the same.

Your request gets a curious frown from the ironclad pixie, tilted their heads at you at how tired and grave you sounded. Ultimately they simply nodded - their Partner did lend them to you for the time being, and she can still do plenty good with you by as you patrol the camp and recover. When Lunn was ready she'll come back to pick them up, as Promised, and they can resume their epic adventure through Bayhama!

Oh you poor dear...

---

By this point you feel Zephy's and Myra's Pokeballs vibrating and rattling in their places where you Locked them in, VERY eager and impatient to be freed and  promptly mother/Swadeloon you for the next eon, but you do your best to pay them no mind and prioritize preparing your majestic unicorn for the upcoming battle(s). Oh you'll pay for that later, but you got chromatic steed to convince first. Once fully summoned, though, Nirix all but trampled you as he started doing his own version of medical check ups and examinations, his eyes and horn glowing as he used every sense he had to determine your overall health and what else needed to be done to get you on the road to full recovery.

It takes quite a bit of effort to get Doc Horse to settle down and reassure him you were mostly fine - the skeptical glances he gave your missing hand telling you how much he bought THAT - but eventually he submits with a huff and hears you out, his tail flicking impatiently and worriedly all the while. The brief trip down memory lane was unexcepted but nice, and the rare AND strong praise was equally so but just as warmly received.

Your request, however, was not - the blessed fae looked ill at ease at you so casually handling your own severed hand, and your own brief recounting of the Incident that lead to THAT happening didn't help the re-growing sense of alarm and need to Heal you. Your subsequent plea for them to join someone else and still Fight against the DEMON that indirectly caused you this injuries was obviously less well received, with the pastel equine snorting in displeasure and stomping a hoof into the sand. Why in the name of Diance and Xerneas would they leave you now of all times, when his help and support was most needed? You were his Master, and you were his first and foremost priority - a DEMON OF HATRED, no matter how wretched and worthy of being scoured from the Earth and Purified, could and should only come second to his duties towards you.

If you want Nirix to join the rest of the War Band without major complaint you can request a Loyalty Roll, which will most likely work out, but be warned that a less than stellar one will have negative impact on their overall Bond and Relationship with Bern, as sending them off could be interpreted as their Master dismissing their opinions and feelings entirely and/or as a sign you had no faith in their aid and wanted to make use of them otherwise.

The scene played out very much like the one you 'experienced' ....THERE, so not much more for me to say other than Glinda was looking to have more and more reservations about your continued participation in this horrible war....

I'll leave the discussion/reassurances between you and Phantom, Spirit, but do let me know if their is anything you want me to highlight.

The Priestess doesn't look up at you initially, their gaze remaining fixed and worried on the weakly struggling form of Lopzu, who seemed to be suffering from a nightmare or other as the terrible Grudge-Filled Curse wrecked havoc on their Body, Mind, and SOUL.

"...You have a Soothe Bell, if I am not mistaken? Then you can help me perform a Purification and Exorcism on this fierce rabbit. I'll mark out a circular area for the rituals to place her in and shall lead it, calling forth and directing energies from myself and the World to try and save this woman's SOUL. You would take the bell and Perform a dance around the circle, chanting and ringing the Bell as you provide your own power and meaning to 'support' my own. The dance or chant need not be specific, but they must be sincere and come from the heart. Your Fortune Witch's feathers (Super Luck) and your Wicked Witch's own chants (Lucky Chant) would also serve as good additional components to the Purification and Exorcism process."

The mysterious lady then turns to Look you in the eyes, her Gaze so heartfelt and meaningful you nearly shed tears as you felt her sorrow about all that has happened, all that she could not do or would not for The Greater Good, and the very Fate of Lopzu and what it might cost them all...

"Be Forewarned, Oz: if this do not go well things will only get far worse for her. It will also greatly use what little Power I have to bear - I likely will not be able to Remain Here and Now if the Purification is taxing, though your aid would certainly help alleviate part of that burden. Even if all goes well I likely won't be able to help you to my fullest extent in the coming Battle with the Demon. Anything dreadful that Could Be, I would not be unable to Make It Not....of which includes the Final Fates of your fellow Astral Companions and your Coven.

"Knowing all this, are you certain you Wish for me to Purify Lopzu ?"

Oz looks at the Priestess worry painted in her face. She looks at the ground, putting the weight of such a decision in her mind. In a way, yes she wants Lopzu to be saved…But at the same time, without the Priestess' help the battle ahead will be far more difficult. Without Bernard and the Priestess' help, Oz will probably be one of the few Spellcasters in the battle ahead.

Would it be fair to save one life in exchange for many?

She then looks at Lopzu, and sees how much pain the woman is feeling right now. Her face took a determined look and she didn’t waste any other time. She grabbed the Soothe Bell, and looked at the Priestess.

“I am a medic first and a Witch second. No matter what happens, I will help those who are in need. I will perform the ritual to purify Lopzu. My Purifying Power is for this kind of situation.”

While the Priestess was preparing the ritual, Oz tried to remember some kind of dance to help in the ritual. She then remembered something…A song her grandfather taught a long time ago. A music old as the world., who said he listened to it many years ago in his travels.

She…not sure if such a song would make a difference…But if old magic is born from belief, then she must believe with all her heart!

She then gets ready. Fortuna and Persephone are out of the Pokeballs. She also gets ready to do one thing.

*SNAP!*

The staff in her hand changed shape again, taking the form of a flute. She is getting ready to dance and sing to make sure Lopzu gets healed.

@Lord Windos Before I do the ritual, what stats I will be using for this ritual? Want to make sure so I may use the XP to increase the ones I might need. Need to make sure I get a good dice and not be forced to use Will Points since I need to save Will Points in case I be forced to use Megidoloan against Sandlossugeist.

You now .....

A) Rush off to VANQUISH these FOOLS! You alone can slay armies - they will be no match for you!
B) Rally your Inner Circle and have THEM do the Job while you continue to grill this DISPICABLE Villian for all they're worth!
C) Activate the Defenses - force them to come to you as the very Halls spring to LIFE to show how much they appreciate their intrusions! Why not share a drink with your Lady too while you're at it?
D) Whatever suits your whim!

As for this FIEND's final fate....

Slay them, or grant them Mercy?

The cur will literally be spilling their guts when Darren is through with them, but not yet. He has the Knight, Swordsman, and Dwarf take on the invaders whilst he and the regal lady work the living one for more information.

(I deeply apologize for the delay, but things have been busy IRL and I had to keep up the pacing for the Major Encounter for a bit. Now that things have slowed on both fronts...)

The Lady in Red is a most persuasive woman with her words that dripped with the promise of Fates Most Foul if the cur didn't divulge all they had to offer, and you standing menacingly over their shoulder with your bloodied great sword proved to be a most effective force multiplier. Soon, they revealed the whole sinister, diabolical plot: they and their fellow villains had come to raid these Halls of yours for their reasons and make slaves of your people, in an effort to build up their own forces for a upcoming war.

This, rightfully, was infuriating and deeply insulting: this organization thought YOUR lands and holdings were weak enough for them pouch, their forces mighty enough to strong arm YOU and your Fellowship? Unacceptable, UNACCEPTABLE! You almost slew the insolent fool on the spot, so potent was your RIGHTEOUS WRATH, but your Lady in Red stayed your blade, softly urging your patience as she worked and for other uses of this brigand...

Eventually you got the locations of their nearest hidden lairs and fronts, and as you were beginning to think of ways to punish these fiends your Knight, Swordsman, and Dwarf all came bursting into the hall, dragging with them one thoroughly beaten villains each and roughly throwing them before your feet. They're quick to report that the situation was Dealt with: the villains have been defeated and either killed, repealed or, in the case of these three, captured for YOU to decide their fate. The Seamstress in particular had brought out her comically large and sharp sowing needle and was leering at these wretches with undisguised gleeful malice, not forgiving their trespasses and interrupting the splendid gathering like you.

As the curs before you slowly started to get up off the floor your Lady leaned in to whisper in your ear several suggestions, all of them appealing in their own ways.... :

A) Have these Curs fight each other to the death, and 'reward' the living one with their life and magically enforced servitude to You and Your Lady's Will
B) Slowly butcher them one by one, each death more prolonged and gruesome as the last to prolong their distress and suffering for their crimes
C) Destroy their Minds with Magic and Torture until they break, and turn them into mindless thralls to Serve until death or no longer of use
D) Whatever you wish - you were the Lord, and I'm sure you have plenty of ways to make these vile fiends SUFFER

That matter aside, there was the task to HOW you were going to respond to this incursion. Not responding in kind was out of the question: the trespasses they made were too great and too egregious to allow for anything other than retribution and RIGHTEOUS JUSTICE to be had. You already had to locations to their Lairs - marching out in kind with your Fellowship to deal with them was the obvious choice, but HOW so was the question ....

1) Direct and Great Force. Hit them fast, hit them HARD, and make them pay. Cover as much ground as possible, and leave as much devastation in your wake to give them no sort of time or reprieve, damn the consequence.
2) Illusive and Great Cunning. You Lady in Red is most Skilled in the ways of Stealthful Action, and with her magicks and leadership could allow you to sneak into several bases to systematically decimate them without them noticing - until it was far too late. Slow, but pointedly effective
3) Bait and Great Trickery. Let them think they won here by disguising you and your fellowship as these curs and take some of your prizes and people into one of their main depots, where you then will strike them where they are most vulnerable. High risk, and your Domain will surly suffer, but if you want this organization to HURT....
4) Other ideas are also welcome too - though these villains simply MUST be dealt with and SOON.

Oz freed both Fortuna and Persephone. She looked at the Priestess, and she finished the symbols she concentrated on and then started the ritual. The three sisters nod their heads, and then each one starts the job of the restoration of Lozpzu.

Fortuna closes her eyes, and her wings start to glow a dark light, and some of that dark light comes to Oz. Persephone starts to sing a beautiful song. One that Oz requested.

Oz did remember that song…It was an old song that both his grandparents told her. A song from ancient times, who said Legends they heard a long time ago. The music in the stories could heal the souls of those who could hear.

A song of the Guardian of the seas.

Oz knows it was just a song, and holds no real power…But if belief is what is necessary to bring back Lopzu, then belief will be used here.

Oz then start the chant:

Earth. Water. Sky. Fire. Elements of this world, hear my call…I beg of you…Please, heal dear Lopzu. She is an innocent who was caught in this battle, wounded by a terrible enemy. By the Will of the planet itself, I beg of you…Heal that soul…restore her vitality to what was before! I Oz, the White Witch of Destiny ask thee. In exchange I offer this: The defeat of the dark master of this chaos…and this music, more Ancient than the Magis themselves…A music who was born from the heart. A song who believed could heal even the soul…Hear this song, Will of the Planet…The result of the love and peace between Human and Pokemon.”

(I didn't know what version of the music to choose so here two versions of the music I have vision Oz to do, since a classic always deserved more than one version)

Lugia's Song (Pokémon 2000) [2016 ver.] ~ Flute & Piano cover ft. ‪@stahrmie‬!

Pokémon – Lugia’s Song | Very EMOTIONAL Tribute Cover

As if a cue, her other hands were shiny, and two other instruments were summoned: A instrument similar to a keyboard piano guitar…and a violin. They float close to Oz by magic.

The flute floats around Oz. The keyboard piano floats towards Oz, and she starts the music, each piece of the keyboard showing a single melody, a symbol of the peace and love Oz has for this world. After a few seconds, the violin came to her other pair of hands and she used it, doing a harmonious song with the keyboard piano guitar.

Both Oz, Persephone and Fortuna begin to sing in unison, focusing on reinforcing the ritual as best as they can, singing to heaven, earth and sea…no…to the planet itself to restore little Lopzu. A soul who was caught in the middle of this conflict. A soul who deserves to live as many others.

She then begins to use the flute, singing the most ancient part of the song…While doing that, she dances, using each of her instruments, letting her body, soul and spirit go free. The Most free she ever was in her life. Free as the Guardian of the Seas, is. She wanted to help the people of this world. And wants to free poor Lopzu from this torment.

Action: Save Lopzu Life!

Dexterity(10* I think?)+Contest(3)+Perform(5*)=18D6

Fortuna will keep Super Luck active using her wings.

Persephone will summon Lucky Chant to prevent the worse from happen.

Oz, Fortuna and Persephone will keep singing, as a token for the world.

I will also say Oz Pokemon are outside of their Pokeballs to see this event and prevent something worse from happen.  They are invited to sing along too if they want. With exception be Dite since she could run away because of her negative Loyalty.

For RP reasons, due to Oz be a Sky Scimitar, I will say she unconsciously summon air around her, but not strong enough to blow away the symbols of sand the Priestress lay out in the ground.

Bernhard would indeed be interested in taking Steelene under his wings, welcome that precious Mawile as one of his own magical partners. Another fairy among his Pokemon, and another creature that has 'cute but deadly' witten on thie forehead (looking at you, Spritzee). But that kinda and veeeerrrry much depends on Steelene herself now, and how convincing he can be in that department with Zephy's help...(and how generous the dice will be in that Persuation Roll) He's not above respecting this Pokemon's feelings in this quite tragic situation.

But, uhm, yes, let's keep THIS talk for later, first up Bernhard would make sure his other magical partners are fine and aren't left in a frenzy of apanic over the state of their Master and Wielder.

Steelene is allowed to stay out of her Ball for the time being, being present in the heartfelt scenes between Bernhard and his overworried Pokemon.

Futhermore, can Bern actually...acquire the drone of Lunn that recorded the fight? NOT to watch the fight and witness Lunn's traumatic death, but much more for safe containment aaaand - most imortantly - perhaps he (or some skilled person in that field) could repair it and then he could use it for further activities like stealth missions and checking out unsafe terrain before entering it. Bernhard already spent 2k$Poke for its repair, would be a shame to let go to waste. Oh the wonders of technology!~

Alright, Nirix is all welcome to stay with Bernhard then and NOT join the War Party - very sorry for that, people, you'll have to do without his magical unicorn. Bern himself has kinda....mixed feelings about this, he's not quiiiite sure what emotion is stronger: His thirst for vengance against that Hateful Being; or the silent appreciation over having the unicorn's protection with him in this time of need.

Nirix usually isn't that cuddly or over-anxious, being a prideful and exquisite steed indeed, and Bern knows this - even more he is suprised pleasantly(?) over the unicorn fretting over him like a mother hen indeed. Still, he can't blame him for doing so, not in the slightest, no - in fact, and if stoic Bern's REALLY honest with himself, he quietly enjoys the displayed care and appreciation towards him - after all, he IS his Master and Wielder.

Was, is and has been; and will always be.

What's broken into pieces within Bernhard from what happened in the fight against that Wolf, his Pokemon/magical partners do help greatly in picking up the pieces and putting it back together. Perhaps - no, most likely - much more than he would want to admit.

For quite a while after Bernhard issues his request and pondered over Nirix's reaction to it, he would just silently pet and stroke the stong unicorn's snout and neck. Lean into him, allow his pastel mane cover and embrace his [Bern's] body. No many - if any - words were needed in this very moment.

I imagine it an utmost beautiful and almost divine image, noble Master Scimitar Bernhard all silently enjoying the company of an absolutely stunning and rare-beyond-measure Galarian Rapidash as flakes of the Divine Diamond Dust fall down upon both; sparkling among the latter's pastel mane. A decent inspiration of artwork for Zephy actually!~ If it'd come to Bern, he would wish for this quiet company and silent reassurance they're giving each other to never end.

It felt like an eternity until Bernhard spoke up, much more quiet than he imagined it to be. "Your loyalty to me knows no bounds, it seems - and for that, dear Nirix, I am utterly grateful. To hell with my request, pay it no mind please - instead PLEASE DO STAY WITH ME. I'm asking for it indeed. Not because of your power, nor your abilities - but for your reassurance and mythical protection indeed. How foolish it was of dear me, trying to hide my desire to be with you in this dark time of need...."

....Speaking about 'dark time of need'.... Yeah, uh, Bernhard can only ignore both Myra and Zephy (Spritzee too?) vibrating and rattling within their respective Pokeballs for so long. So, uhm.... About time to find a quiet, somewhat safe spot (as far away from danger as only possible, while not [yet] directly leaving the War Zone) to free both Myra and Zephy from their Balls via magical passwords - Mentally, Bernhard already prepared for both of them fretting over him like they haven't done...ever before, I guess. Well, not that he's oposed to it this THIS very special case...

"I am... so incredibly sorry for causing you worry and concerns for dear old me..." is what Bern would tell both. Then, with the tiniest hint of a smile: "Oh Well, but what would be without great magical partners like you are... I don't think I have ever really... Given you my sincere thanks for your loyalty, now haven't I."

Imposter is a rather interesting option too, but its full potential is somewhat wasted on Nox right now due to how it works. Maybe something to invest in next...if you're not going to save for Acceleration, which is less versatile than Imposter but WOO WEE it its specialization awesome!

For the time being Steelene will be Registered as now 'Owned' by Bern, but that may change depending on the outcome of your future discussion (tell me when....) with the metallic sithe over the Final Fate of their Trainer (and possibly the fact you could've saved them if they find out or frantically start searching your stuff for a Rez Item...) . Currently they're just off to your side, watching the fine performance you're putting on with your closest Mons with a keen fascination and appreciation....

*To be Continued....*

---

Nirix lets out a whiny of relief as you relent and simply let him take care of you alongside the rest of your Mons. Certainly your colorful stallion was a prideful, aloof creature, but when the chips where down he was every bit as meticulous as you were when it comes to Doing Right and serving you best. Could also be the awakening and empowering of his latent Healer talents - with that aspect of himself brought into more prominence he may start acting like the Scimitar Healers back home - incredibly stern and self-assured, and just as keen on making sure anyone under their care gets the works until they're no longer hanging by a String Shot.

Having them do a comprehensive check-up and using their Innate Healing Talents does wonders to ease and eliminate the Physical Side to the STRESS and trauma of losing your hand, and their care will actually make it easier to get it re-attached and/or replace when the time comes for that. Doctor Horse is on the job, and he's going to do his part to make sure you are fully Armed and Ready A.S.A.P. .

Your words get a *puff* of air blown in your face and a slightly admonishing nicker - as if their were any doubt about his Loyalty or the care he'd give to you, and you were almost very foolish in trying to send them off indeed. From the slight smile you catch as you reach out to pet and comfort him, though, you can tell he's pleased and relieved. Both with your praise, and at the fact you were handling ALL of this so very well - lesser people than you would be a absolute mess, Divine(?) intervention be damned.

*....Now for this Scene*

And indeed it was a show - Zephy almost tacked you to the ground the moment you released her, only for Myra to finish the job as she bowls you over and lands right on your chest! Your kitsune is keening most imploringly and emotionally wrought, her tails swarming all over you and all but tying you up in a very fluffy but comfortable embrace as she licks your face and nuzzles you for both your comfort and her own. The sheer trust and worry she has to use her tails in such a way is awe inspiring - you see several Trainers taking pictures already or gawking.

Your oh so precious Muse, on the other hand, immediately *ZOOMED* over to your missing hand and your Guantlet, her eyes darting back and forth between the two, YOU, and perhaps even the Masked Wolf as she started muttering to herself on HOW she was going to go about fixing this travesty. She is STRESSED out beyond belief and not a little FURIOUS about what happen, if that Ice Cold Look of hers is any indication. It doesn't take much for her attention to Laser Focus right back on you as she ziiiiiips over and in front of your face, STARING down at you with those Eyes of hers...

*Slap!*

Ouch!

*Hugs*

The stinging of your cheek is numbed as her cool fuzzy body presses up against it, holding closely and tightly, as if for dear life.

"Bernhard Samsara never do THAT again. (keeping her locked in for any longer than necessary after something like THIS) . You, I....by the Fine Arts I nearly lost my mind when you lost your....gods. *Slighty frantc, slightly mollifying tone* Don't worry, good ol' Zephy is Crafty as always - I'll help ya get it fixed up faster that a Dodrio on the hunt, and nothing is going to get in the way of that! Please....please....take it easy until then and let us (your Pokemon) take good care of you, okay? Please .... "

Concerning the Drone, it got demolished in the Fight with the Cunning Sand Whale - only the black box and the video/memory cards remained intact and functional. Trying to repair THAT pile of twisted and sandblasted scrap heap would be a near hopeless task for anyone but a Craftsman (or woman) of Mythical Skill, and even then such a fix-up may be beyond them. Better off trying to buy something like it in Bayhama if you really want a Drone for Scouting - pricey, but maybe worth it. The Survival Center might have one, considering their focus on high-grade hardware and forms of transportation.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
