Help Press Space to Continue(RGSS not responding)
#1
Hey, really think this game looks awesome, wanted to play this game since it came out, so I downloaded it just after it released. Only issue was, the moment I got to the "Press Space to continue" screen the whole thing stopped responding, every time, with no exception. I tried redownloading and reinstalling it, didn't work. I now decided to get it again months later and the same problem is happening. Does anybody know how to fix this? It'd be nice if I could just at least try this awesome looking game.

I'm not positive this is the issue, but maybe you need to click in the window first so it reads the command? Are you able to skip the cutscene at the start by pressing the space bar?

I am able to skip the cutscene, and I've clicked on the window, but the moment I press space it greys out and says "Not responding" well the music still plays, but nothing can be done and I have to close it, where a prompt will say "RGSS Player not responding" then close. Happens the exact same every time.

Might be a case for you, @CodySP... He has connections to the devs as well, if needed.

Did you get any kind of crash notice apart from "not responding?" If not there may be an issue with RGSS Player, not Uranium itself. Try the fixes in this thread and see if they help (it's for a different game, but both run on the same platform).

I'm looking to see how to remove the runtime files for the player itself (Uranium doesn't touch those unless they're missing, in which case it downloads and installs them). Taking those out before reinstalling might fix your problem if the other solutions don't.

No crash notice no, it just stops responding. I did everything the thread said, twice, and then any other combination of the settings, but it still has the problem, the moment I press space to continue, it stops responding. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it twice over just for good measure but it happens the same every time.

Have you tried reinstalling it to a different directory, or are you installing it to the same directory each time? Also, you may want to re-download the game just to be safe. Small possibility that the installer is somehow incomplete.
