I was battling Lathan, and thought I'd try to use a timer ball, but of course you know you have to let the battle last awhile before they're effective.  I had plenty of potions, so I didn't think it would be a problem. I had Lanthan down to one hitpoint.

Actually, the legendary comited suicide.

LOL I cussed myself out then rebooted the game.

Yeah, thankfully I did.  Then it comitted suicide a second time.  I think I'll record my third try for comedic purposes and share it on Facebook.  Watch me actually succeed instead in capturing Lathan intead of epically failing a third time.

EDIT: Whelp, I wasn't able to record because the recorder on my comp refused to work even though I used it before and it worked fine then. I wound up capturing Lanthan with a heavy ball.

I feel this struggle.

When I caught Actan, I caught him with my first Ultra Ball with a quarter bar of health and no status effects. This gave me a false sense of security because at the time, I had absolutely no idea of just how lucky I was.

I went in to face Lanthan feeling hyper-confident, I strut my stuff all the way through that cave with a spring in my step - He was going down.

3 save loads, 99 Ultra Balls, 4 weight balls and 7 timer balls later, I had him. My inexperience and luck made me cocky and fool-hardy.

Oh, believe me, I do! I too have experienced that as well as other frustrating things I will not go into.

Yeah, when I went to catch Lanthan the second time, I used all my timer balls, then went to use the heavy balls.  When the third heavy ball failed, Lantan used struggle and fainted.  I yelled at the screen, "ARE YOU SERIOUS?"  Then realized that yelling at a computer was ridiculous and in vain.

Nah, yelling at a computer isn't as ridiculous as it sounds.  I yell "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" at the screen on a regular basis.
