I have a problem. Whenever I try to update to 1.1.0 via the patcher, It displays an error message and won't update, what do I do?

Post the error message for us

Try reinstalling the game (save file will not be affected)

If none of that works, I'm sure we'll soon have a fully updated download available or someone could prepare one.
