There is a flash of fire from behind the Pokemon Center, and the clatter of hooves. A middle-aged woman on a huge Ponyta rides up to Nathan and the people near him, offering to pull him onto her horse.

"Nathan! What in Larvitarnation are you doing out alone on Mt. Molten? You know that mountain's dangerous! Even in the quiet season. Even on the paths, this close to the Running! Mallorn says you've got poor Corporal Wake chasing all over town trying to save you and your friends from wild Pokemon! What were you thinking? Your place is here, in town, on the ranch or at least within earshot of the Pokemon Center!"

"Oh, hi there, Ralts sweetie, how are you?"

As the woman sees the Mankey in the distance, staggering around a massive snake commanded by a young kid, the familiar glint of the battlegaze comes into her eyes, eyes that are strikingly the same color as Nathan's.

If Nathan rides Ponyta, he can join the battle at the lowest initiative order in Round 5.
