And Nathan...leaving your starter behind...that's cold, man, real cold. ; )

Cold or not, Nathan's not wanting this ponyta to cause unnecessary and unintended destruction.  And as I said in the post, that decision is going to tear Nathan apart later, even though he'll be able to find Ralts more easily than Ponyta later. He didn't want to do it, but it didn't look like he was going to be able to pry Ralts away from that flower before Ponyta got away.
