I forgot about that little aspect about Larry relationships with characters: no one seems to like him much. Ventus and Vincent don't think too highly of him after the Ekan Nest incident, even though he redeemed himself by handling the Mankey, and Shiva doesn't like him for messing with Cottenee and invading her personal space. Nathan is only one that does not thing too negatively of him, and even he has doubts on his ability at times.

Given Ventus recent Pariah status, though, you might have an easier time making in roads with the two other guys. Ventus and Shiva seem to have a good report going on, so interacting with them might be more difficult than not.
