Nathan finds a Hard Stone - something great to arm a Rock-type with for bashing into other Pokemon. Hard Stones are formed naturally over centuries of time - this one looks a bit like obsidian, possibly from Mount Molten.

Ventus' foot sinks a bit into a certain patch of earth, which he notices is extremely sparkly, almost gemlike. As a very smart man, he recognizes this as Stardust - often found in the general vicinity of meteor strikes. The name is a bit misleading, because it's really more like pebbles in shape. He carefully gathers it all and estimates that it'd be worth 1500$ on the open market - more if he found the right collector.
