Glancing over to where Nathan was battling the Carnivine, Ventus noticed that he was doing a fine job of handling the ravenous plant. Just as Swiftfire was about to immolate it, Nathan reigned her in, allowing the wounded plant to make a safe get away. Raising his eyebrow at this display of mercy, he called out to Nathan. "Excellent job of dealing with the carnivorous plant, but why didn't you knock it out? There is always the chance it could come back to molest us later, possibly with backup," he said, curious at the boy's decision. That plant was a threat to him and his entire group, so why would he...?

Ventus then remembered the moment he treated the Mankey that was chasing them, and he just tilted his head down in realization. 'He's a rather merciful soul, is he not? The boy was a ranch hand, so looking out for the wellbeing for Pokémon must be engraved into him by now. I just hope his demoner doesn't cause harm to him someday...' he though, shaking his head before calling out to the young trainer again. "Regardless, thank you for protecting the van. Let's work together and get it out of this goopy muk," Ventus called out, before grabbing the shovel Larry stuck into the ground as a support.

With that, he waited for his companion to come over with Shiftfire, so that she could bake the mud and they could dig the van out.

Nathan, Swiftfire, and Ralts return to the RV.  "No need to KO it if we're going to be gone before it decides to come back.  Anyways, let's get this thing out of here already.  I don't think those exeggcute are going to bother us any while Swiftfire is here, anyways.  Alright, Swiftfire, I need you to use Ember on the mud in the immediate area around the van.  Can't have more muck coming in if we're going to dig the RV out."

Ralts is still focused on Shiva's emotions.  It's a whirl of potent variety, but everyone is too focused on what they're doing right now to notice that Ralts is very, very distracted.
