Before everyone headed off to bed for the night, Nathan considered what he still needed to do. He still needed to talk with Ventus, but then he remembered that he hadn't told his mom they'd arrived in Ginger Town yet. He hurries back to the Center after Zamboni gives him his payment as well as Ventus and Valders'. Nathan catches the two before they head off to bed and gives them their payments, and then heads to his room.
When he calls his mom, the phone barely has a chance to ring even once before it's picked up. Nathan assures his mom he's fine, and fills her in on what happened. He doesn't mention the scimitar, though. The conversation is brief, but relieving.
The next morning, though, something still isn't sitting right with Nathan. He thinks for a moment, and decides he needs to talk with Ventus the first chance he gets. He needs some answers, and Ventus probably needs some too. If this didn't take place soon, it could be blown way out of proportion and fracture the group, after all...he heads to the Center's lobby and waits for Ventus to show up, Ralts by his side, as usual. The empathetic pokemon was still a little out of sorts from last night. They both look rather...gloomy and subdued, but not unapproachable.
