We believe this has something to do with older saves and beta Pokemon. There was a function removed in the 1.1.0 update because it was never called anywhere. We later discovered that the reason this function was left in was because it was needed to make Beta Pokemon (Including Pokemon that were bred during that time) compatible with future versions.

Fixed bug created in 1.1.0 where owning a bred Pokemon from beta would make your save unusable. People that have already had this bug's saves will work again now.
