Ventus, while focused on the group's wellbeing, is pretty much out of the loop regarding either Larry or Vincent's task, so he's helpless there. Though, It might be better for him NOT to learn of Larry's Mother plight. Ventus doesn't have much faith in him as a trainer at the moment, so telling his mother about all the trouble he has gotten into might become a priority. If it keep Larry safe and sound....

Remember, he did tell everyone right before the group headed off to route 01.  Specifically, he told Shiva, Mallorn, and Ventus while they were at the lab, buying the tent, and then Nathan showed up and got filled in along with Vincent on the way out.  

Larry, to my knowledge, has not told the party his concern for the situation has dropped since he received the second phone call.  Ventus may have forgotten about Larry's problem due to the recent troubles with Nathan, but Nathan's going to be keeping it in mind when the group sets out.  As such, he'll recommend we go to Corsage now that our business in Ginger Town is done (Nathan's got a pretty decent long term memory.  All that reading in his spare time paid off in more ways than one!).  It's also partially why he wanted to get the gym battle out of the way ASAP, since Shiva's business at the daycare has now been concluded.

Also, he's just a little worried Larry won't be able to handle whatever he finds there.  Whatever that something is.  He's going to need support of some kind.
