That's every player's personal decision, I think. Iron knows as much about Shiva that he needs, and I actually enjoy developing her backstory along the campaign and add certain things or events that may have formed her the way she is, thinks and behaves whenever I feel the wish to do so/it may be plot-relevant, instead of having a full detailed background right from the start.
