Shiva sneaks up on the Poliwhirl.

It doesn't look like Poliwhirl is KO'd or sick. Just sleeping! Maybe its massive body demands more energy.
Shiva also notices the new fellow stir and speak, but Sage may still not see Shiva, because he's groggy and she's stealthy.
Ventus, however, is probably very concerned about the mention of a drug. Valium's not a painkiller, so he may not be as disturbed as if it was some other drug, but as a sociologist Ventus knows the consequences of overdose and dependence. So he draws Sage a drink of water and feeds it to him.
