Shiva, now feeling vulnerable without Plusle close to her, tightly linked arms with Ventus next to her. Sorry. She's all frightened, furious and overrun by this sudden change in situation. Mostly frightened, though.

Ventus was jarred out of his stoicism by Shiva firmly latching onto him, almost causing him to tip over and fall into the pond! Now with a slightly harried look on his face, he looked down at the lass in his arms in befuddled distress. 'Huh?! Why the Kuyrem is she hugging now of all times? Wait...she's terrified of the Mega-Pinsir! Does she have some form of Bug-type phobia that is causing her to panic, or has the battle situation provoked this fear response in her? Does not matter; I must protect her regardless!' the researcher though, brining Shiva closer next to him in a half hug of sort.

"Worry not, Shiva. This villain's bug inflict will not be permitted to inflict any damage upon you, rest assured. Apsis and I will protect you, no matter the cost," Ventus says to her, briefly giving her a comforting smile, before turning his attension back to the battle pond. He needs to find this conflict NOW.
