As for the questioning...just give a similar story that Ventus told, and don't mention anything he said post battle at all. Own up to the paralyze charge as reacting to the man sacking his Pinsir on Apsis, and just say that you only helped subdue the bug, not Lethally harmed it in anyway. That's all, really. Ventus did most of the work crafting the group's narrative about the fight, so just stick to his version of events and things should be fine...shorta. In a way, everything he said is right, is you take the events out of context and look at it generously!
