Nathan turns around after applying the potion to Porygon just in time to see Kirlia take a Water Pulse head on!
...and not flinch at all from it? What? He looks...fine...what?
The water swirls around Kirlia instead, glowing with a faint green light before promptly disappearing entirely. 'Was that...Water Absorb? Kirlia must have traced that ability...but from what? Skiddo and Wingull don't usually have that ability at all from what I remember...'
Raff's comment on typings brings him back to reality. There'd be time to ponder that in a moment. Right now, there was a battle to win.
'None of the types they're prepared for...right...seems to me they were plenty prepared for 2/3 of my team with just two pokemon...I need to seriously shore up their weaknesses somehow...' It's only a fleeting thought right now, but not one he'll forget. That Mega Pinsir had shown him how vulnerable his pokemon were to flying types, and this Blitzle was going to cause him some trouble too, just thinking about what was on his team...
"Great job, you two. Now take down that Skiddo! Princess, Bug Bite! Kirlia, Confusion! Take it out quickly!
Kirlia
Order: Double Confusion on Skiddo, then Blitzle if Skiddo is withdrawn.
Accuracy: 3 Dex + 2 Fight + 1 Canalize - 2/3 Action - 1 Pain = 3/2 D6
Damage: 2 Power + 2 Strength + 1 STAB + 1 Pink Pearl - 3 Vit = 3 D6
Princess
Order: Double Bug Bite on Skiddo, then Blitzle if Skiddo is withdrawn.
Accuracy: 3 Dex + 2 Fight + 1 Brawl - 2/3 Action = 4/3 D6
Damage: 2 Power + 2 Strength + 1 STAB - 3 Vit = 2 D6 (plus 1 damage when it hits Skiddo)
Next pokemon: If Princess or Kirlia hit 1 HP, withdraw and send out Porygon, who'll attack Blitzle with as many tackles as possible to end the fight quickly.
