As for the knife...Ventus will likely ask for it back after he's done. He gave it to the Spearow to defend itself, but now that it doesn't have a need for it anymore, he'll want it back in his possession. A big sharp knife has many useful application for a researcher, especially one as deranged as him!

If Ven wants the knife back, she'll have to bring up good reasons towards her, and explain why he was keeping it in the first place. Shiva might feel relucant to hand it over... But if she does however, it'll be a secure and strong sign of trust towards him.

Hopefully he'll make a good case and get it back, but if he doesn't he will just straight up tell Shiva that he'll just find another weapon to defend himself and the group with. Either way, Shiva keeping the knife will not change to fact he''ll find something to arm himself with...
