Ohhh, that reaction from Nathan came a little unexpected. I didn't meant to make him sob... At the same time, he'd have to understand she can't just tell him. She promised the Daycare owners not to, and she's definitely not up to break that promise. Regardless how hurtful this may be for Nathan. Ven doesn't know more than he does about the secret mission, he just GUESSED it must be something illegal or dangerous or whatever. She didn't gave any hint whether/what is correct.

Just keep in mind that all that happened after Shiva went back inside the tent to nap.  He was still trying to get his thoughts in order when she stood up and left.

Unless she decides to be sneaky and observes what he does afterwards. (I'd have to edit my post slightly if that's what happens)

Nathan might be a loner, but he's been getting used to having this constant companionship from other humans over the last (almost) two weeks.  Being left out like that by those who are becoming his good friends is hitting him pretty hard.
