[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Also, I updated my last post in meta thread concerning these new rule changes on my current battle, @Iron. Thought I let you know, in case you missed it!

Pro Tip number one: Record EVERYTHING!  The character sheet is a valuable resource, and if you can keep it organized and informative, it will serve you well in the long run.

Pro Tip number two: Don't just inform!  Perform!  Make the character sheet nice to look at as well as informative.  Don't overdo it though, or it won't be as easy on the eyes as if you'd only done a few touch ups here and there.

I've put lots of info in my sheet concerning all manner of things.  Stats are one thing, sure.  But I also keep notes on characters, what pokemon we've met and who caught them first (so I can keep track of when we get Mallorn money), where we saw the pokemon (Iron gets to fill in the gaps on locations as he wishes since I'm not all-knowing), notes on all the moves my pokemon know and what they do, notes on any abilities my pokemon have had, and lots of misc notes concerning what we've learned and what my character already knows (such as what little he knows on Tandorian pokemon and the history of each region [mostly the recent history involving trainers from the last 10 years, since that's the most likely to be relevant].  I also time stamped where all of the games lay on the timeline [Uranium was about a year and a half ago if you noticed that in the conversation with Shiva]  I still have to determine if it's Nate or Rosa and Sun or Moon from their games, but I'm currently leaning towards Rosa and Sun being the ones that participated in the events of those games).

And above all, it's colorful.  If something is related to a type or element of some kind, I color code it.  I've got one color I use for every type.  Red for fire, Blue for water, a dark green for bug, purple for psychic, a very, very light purplish pink for fairy, a very light gray for normal...keeps it simple, and helps me find the info I need.  I use two colors for pokemon with two types.

And for the icing on the cake, I add descriptions for the moves, pokemon, and items I obtain, to add a little more character to what would otherwise be a digital piece of paper.
