Ah. That explains it. He's done this before.
The agent is still wearing the same bored expression. "Don't be too hasty in your judgements and assumptions. There's more than one reason a man could be evasive. Or clueless. It can be hard to distinguish between the two, sometimes. I'm not here to talk about me, though."
Having come from criminal origins himself, the agent could theorize how this Thief might have done such an impressive job with the information trade. Heck, he's probably had to even deal with Looker a few times. Reliant on children or not, the man's skill with disguises and nose for trouble was certainly nothing to scoff at.
His past was only something he knew though. Him, and his companion pokemon, Absol. The two had been through thick and thin, and nothing was going to separate them. And nobody except them knew the agent's origins. Everyone else who would have known was long gone by now. Either by fate or his own hand. All Interpol knew was that he had a knack for the most dangerous jobs imaginable, ones that would scare off most green agents before they even started looking for the first lead. Oh, and his incredibly ruthless habits. He'd gotten a few marks on his record here and there early in his career, though Interpol mostly overlooked them now for...reasons.
