The Great Cookie Capers!

The rangers hadn't noticed.

But the agent's pokemon had.

This time, it was his Solosis that had noticed as someone had stolen into the hospital and left with more than they had entered the building with.

Purrloin had run into Solosis as well, and informed him of the sabelye.  Needless to say, Solosis was quick to contact Gardevoir, as well as a pokemon that was able to tail the culprit who had sneaked into the hospital.

The last few hours had been rather boring, as Dragonstrike had expected.  Not much going on except breakfast, apparently.  Gardevoir hadn't informed him yet of either of the people in the house leaving it.  

When Gardevoir received Solosis's message, though, she was rather startled.  A strange sableye and someone invading the hospital?  She got the agent's attention very quickly.

He'd been just sitting there for awhile, hat pulled low over his eyes, confident Gardevoir would inform him of any changes.

Well, she did.  But not because of the changes he was expecting...

"Hm?  What is it, Gardevoir?"  He pushes the hat's rim up so he can look at Gardevoir.  She looks rather alarmed...not at all what he'd been expecting to see if someone had left the building they were watching...Gardevoir points at Dragonstrike's coat pocket.

"Alright, alright, I'm pulling it out..."

He reaches into his pocket...and pulls out a box like device with two antennas.  He plugs some headphones in and turns it on...anyone who took only a quick look would think he was just listening to some sort of music.  "Alright, Gardevoir, whatcha got?"

Gardevoir makes the usual pokemon noises...and the device crackles to life!

"There's some sort of disturbance in the town, sir.  Something about a Sableye wearing armor arriving at the docks, and someone stealing something from the hospital.  Nobody except our comrades seem to have noticed, either.  Both occurrences were very discreet.  The sableye had no human nor pokemon company and was staying in the shadows, and the hospital break in was done by a single person of indistinguishable features."

"A disturbance in the town?  Damn it...and here I thought this was going to be a nice, boring day of just watching the Cookie Thief and the Chief Ranger...alright, I'll go check this out.  Ask the hospital to do a sweep of their building, find out what went missing.  You stay here and continue to monitor those lovebirds.  Notify me when they leave the building.  And make sure to tell the others to keep an eye out for that sableye, and not to engage it unless I'm there."

He summons Gallade from his pokeball, and recalls Absol.  "Alright, Gallade, we need to Teleport to the Bealbeach Hospital, ASAP."

"Of course, sir.  Teleporting in 3...2...1..."  

*Blip*

(Now, here's the question: Is the Cookie Thief too preoccupied with making Breakfast to notice Agent Dragonstrike is gone, or the strange activities in town?)

*The Cookie Thief is informed of Agent Dragonstrike's sudden departure, as well the reason why by his Ghost Pokémon*

*Both of the Thief's eyebrows shot up, and quickly placed the Blueberry crumble he just retrieved from the oven down on the counter*

*Lets out quiet, but profuse swear* Bloody fucking hell, that bastardous traitor is at it again now of all times. He sure does have a great sense of timing, if they were aiming to ruin both mine and my future wife's day off!

*Just rubs his temples, before he finished up with the hashbrows, bacon, eggs, and toast*
*Makes a plate for Phantom, and goes over to their bedroom*

I haven't even told my honeybun about our diner plans with Agent Dragonstrike yet, and now this happens. Jolly well fantastic. Looks like I'll be surprising them with far more than breakfast in bed...

*Enters Phantom's grand bedroom, and walks over to the still sleeping angel, before gently shaking her awake*

My love, its time to get up now. I was going to let you sleep in, but several things have come to my attension recently, and none of them are good. First, though, eat this meal I prepared for you. Bad news is best handled with a full stomach, after all.
