Let's also keep in mind Nathan's concerns for that Omanyte.  If that trade DOES go through, he might freak out a little since he's not entirely sure Larry would be the best handler for it...for multiple reasons.  Even less so than scientists that would poke and prod it and whatever else as they tried to figure out what caused it to be half fossil, half pokemon.

First, let's see if Larry is interested in the Fossil Pokémon before we start panicking. If he does want it, I can always request they take it to Mallorn first for study, and get advice on how to take care of a fossil Pokémon! Of course, since Nathan did let have Ven obtain full ownership of Omanyte, he's not in much of a postion to complain if the trade goes through to begin with....(No offense to your chara, of course!)
