The Championship

Frankly, I don't want to be spoiled on what I'll be battling, so I've not looked up on the wiki what pokemon the other competitors are, but then, I don't know how much more powerful they are. Usually, a difficulty spike will usually be five-ish levels higher than the party, but I don't think I'll be able to go through the tournament with level sixty pokemon.

How high do I need to train and where is the best spot (other than Victory Road, of course) to train?

This game feels ridden with difficulty spikes now that I think about it.

Personally, the best trainering you'll get is just repeatidly rechallenging all the trainer who give you there Cell No's in Tandor. Their team levels scale with your own team's, so its easy to get Exp and Money from them. As for the proper level to challenge the League the first time....I say level 80 is a good bench mark to reach, but lv 70 would also work if your team has great synergy! Second challenge, it would be a good idea to get to lv 80 or above, but that's just my opinion.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
