I think he want Nucleon ability rework so that, while it does change Normal type moves into Nuclear type, it does not give it a STAB bonus or boost to it. While I don't think that would spare Nucleon the inevitable banhammer, it would make it more balanced in Ubers, at least.
Nucleon would still get STAB off of the moves due to its ability. It'd just be hard walled by Geigeroach and Hazma (and Gararewl to an extent) and be less powerful overall if such a change were made. Still devastatingly strong against everything else though.
