The battle has been going more or less as I foresaw, besides the Azuiril switch mid battle. I say that Nathan has the advantage for now, but that could Chandra if you make a poor prediction, or just roll poorly mate!
When I double battle, I always like ganging up on the weak target if possible while hobbling the stronger one (With either Status or debuffs). If you remove one source of damage from a fight, then you have a lot less chip damage to worry about!
Off topic here, but how difficult would Michael be able to beat if he had Drain Punch, Mega Drain, Leech Seed, and Poison Heal active? That a lot of ways it can recover its HP quickly, and this is discounting other tactics like Spore and Sub stalling....
Also what move would be better on it, Facade or Focus Punch, in regards to Pokerole campaign?
Kirlia, Swiftfire, Grid, Porygon, Princess, and Staryu. Made it a point to state I was swapping Zippy for Porygon earlier so I'd have the most diverse options possible when this battle came around. (only saying this as well because it should be fairly easy to keep track of for the player characters). Shiva has Plusle, Minun, Cottonee, Fennekin, Azu, and then either Helios or that baby Fletchling (not sure which since Phantom never stated which one she grabbed)
Nathan made it a point to knock the electric mice out of the fight ASAP. As I've stated before, electric types are very dangerous for his current team composition since he doesn't have a whole lot that can handle them super well yet. Nasty Plot comboed with Plus and Minus was going to make them a nightmare to face if they weren't removed from the battle quickly. Plusle and Minun were both particularly scary because of both Nuzzle and Swift with their massive damage potential.
Removing the big sources of damage is easily the most effective way to turn the battle in your favor, as well. Now that there's no more spread moves in this battle, the playing field has been evened a little.
Yeah, Breloom are pretty well known for that ridiculous HP recovery speed of theirs. Outpacing that much healing is pretty difficult since you'd get 1 from Poison Heal, maybe 1 from Leech Seed, and half of what you deal with Mega Drain/Drain Punch. If your opponent can't do 4 damage per turn and you don't get unlucky and only heal the 1 from Poison Heal, that's gonna be ridiculous to try breaking. Of course, it'll be getting easier as the moves get stronger...and if the opponent is packing a SE attack (particularly flying moves)
Focus Punch would work best in combination with Spore, while Facade is less situational and is more instant. On top of that, Facade's damage output will outpace Focus Punch's since Facade only takes one action to use, while Focus Punch takes two. Of course, fighting can hit things normal can't still, but charge moves tend to be outpaced in terms of damage potential pretty easily by any move that has more than half the charge move's power...
