Nothing is in vain ot futile what you do for me." While Nathan received still a tone with concealed ice, the voice she spoke to her Pokemon was warm and filled with delight. Yes, she's capable of doing that.
It wasn't lost on him, that change in tone. Well, not like he hadn't earned her ire since he'd had a pretty big lead before he held back a little...she was doing well, though, all things considered.
This was where the fight was going to reach the climax, though. It all hinged on these next few moments...Nathan was fairly confident he still held victory in his palm, but he knew he'd shot himself in the foot by letting her more easily KO two of his strongest pokemon, and heavily damage his strongest afterwards.
He was okay with that, though. He'd given her a chance to potentially win, and she was likely to have learned a lot from getting to apply some of those new concepts, whether she lost or won. And this battle was definitely good training for his pokemon as well.
He smiles. "They have indeed done a good job, Shiva. As have you. No hard feelings, no matter who wins, right?" He pulls out the pokeball for his next pokemon. "Enough talk, though. Let's finish this."
