Damage will remain the same though.
I will roll a die to see if Nathan takes a path past your doggo body, since he is going up the ridge towards your current position by whatever route the dogs let him take. Decent chance he would see a concentration of Houndour gathered at the body (they take care of their dead) and avoid the cluster.
