@Lord Windos
@Cataclyptic
- EV spreads for Beliaddon were taken straight from your guide.
- You're taking as examples for checks and counters pokemon that are way too powerful for Glavinug to deal with. Of course Yatagaryu and boosted members of the FFF threaten the majority of its sets and of course Fafninter is a hard counter to Glavinug's offenses; they're just in another league.
I think now might be the time to start planning tiers again. I don't know if there's talk about that on the Discord or if there is a more up-to-date draft of what the tiers would look like than the one on the Analysis Compendium and Tiering Plans thread; but it would be awesome if we could have that. Even without usage stats we could try and sort once again pokemon based on their power and viabilty..
- Navighast could complement rather well Glavinug and Nimflora. Resists Fighting, Rock, Poison, can keep Steel and Rock types away, can deal with Brainoar, and benefits greatly from Nimflora's Sticky Web. Otherwise, Cocancer and Dunseraph are excellent defensive partners.
- Prankster Whimsicott has better things to run than Toxic, but I get you.
@Cataclyptic
- HP Electric is Glavinug's only option for keeping Water-types that resist its stab moves in check.
HP Ground against Electric types : Jolteon, Yatagaryu, Stenowatt, Gellin, Kinetmunk (lol), Theriamp, Jerbolta, the Punks and Electruxo are faster than Glavinug and most of them are too threatening for Glav to stay in. Mega Ampharos can tank a hit and retaliate with a lethal Thunderbolt. Haagross is the only one that's really threatened by HP Ground, being x4 weak and most likely slower than Glav.
HP Ground against Poison types : Tofurang, non Mega Arbok, Trawpint and Miasmedic are relatively unharmful so there is no real emergency to check them with an HP. Blubelrog takes the same amount of damage from HP Electric. Vilucard I'm not too sure. Chimaconda can threaten with its own HP Rock but I'm not sure how much damage that does to Glav. Luchabra is the real threat, being faster and having stab Fighting.
HP Ground against Rock and Fire types : Surf already covers them
HP Ground against Steel types : Gararewl already loses a massive chunk of life to Surf, S51-A is immune, Metalynx takes more damage from neutral Blizzard than neutral HP Ground (but Glav isn't cut to deal with Metalynx anyway). Daikatuna can be hit with HP Electric. Meaning HP Ground would more or less only be run for Tracton.
(I'm thinking while I'm typing this)
Final conclusion : HP Electric hits fewer but more problematic targets, while HP Ground hits a wider range of enemies that, if already weakened could be taken out with stab moves. Either one is good, I'm moving HP to the main set.
- A Cleric set "consisting of Lefties, Natural Cure, Rest, Heal Bell, Toxic and STAB move of choice" is basically the Specially Defensive set with Heal Bell, and is already mentionned in the Heal Bell section. I'll rephrase my sentence so it seems like an actual set.
