Nathan's got that smirk on his face again.  "See, Ven? We had this battle in the bag.  There wasn't any reason to be worried.  They might be ghosts, but they're still pokemon, and that battle was almost flawless on our end despite the difficulties."


And then the elephant (or rather, giant cobra) in the room...Nathan sighs...did she really have to bug him about this now?

"Aspis, thank you for taking all those hits for everyone.  We couldn't have won so easily without ya.  I'll give you a little meat when we get back to the Center.  No, not now.  I doubt anyone wants to clean up a mess made on a pier or in a nice mansion."

He looks VERY serious for a brief moment.

"And if you lick me again, I'll have Kirlia finish the job those ghosts nearly completed.  So don't.  Got it?"

The empath let's out another sigh, this one a bit more put upon, before shrugging his shoulders at the boy. "Yes, we won, but it was tension wrought, dubious affair the whole time, so I would not say our battle was as prisitine. One misstep on our part,  and Sir Chuckles would have sent our Pokémon temporarily to the afterlife, and the maladies he rained upon our Pokémon had me rightfully vexed me. We ended up victorious despite all those complications, so I am at peace with what transpire....as long his Ghost keep a respectful from my person," Ventus replied, eyeing those spirits of Chuckles while meaningfully waving his burning incense around him. He knew more powerful exorcisim rites, if they didn't get the warning the second time...

Apsis, displeased that she was NOT getting her meaty treat now, after all that abuse she took, gave him a particularly sullen glare (just short of being a Glare). Just as she was about to repeat her slimy ministrations on him, Nathan's warning caused her to pause just for a moment. She was under no obligation to obey this boy's command, but that Kirlia of his was a dangerous pest, when provoked. So she decided not to lick the boy again....and instead settled for drooling all over his head from high up, before beating a hasty retreat to her master's side. There! That will show the boy that she will not be cowed by his words, hmpt! Ventus quickly returned his giant snake to her ball before the young psychic could retialiate, and let out another round of laughter at him, this time making no attempt to disquise it.

"Hahahaha! Nathan...I recall warning you about her natural disobedience.....hahaha...so what made you think she would obey you now, of all times? Pffft....hahahahaha! " he said, before quickly taking another picture of the drool covered trainer. Another one for the scrapbook, and to show Shiva and Raphael later! Ah...this is what he needed to improve his attitude, after that harsh battle he endured!
