Okay, after taking a little time to think carefully about this...
I don't want encounters scaled around Horn Drill being an option. That's just silly. I don't want to come across as being cheap either, though, for trying to use the move (but would you really expect a Rocket Grunt to not use such a strong move?)...I've only (so far) been attempting to use it to remove key threats (Ninetales and Breloom) and somehow failing horribly each time...the dice themselves seem to be conspiring against it ever since I got the option :/
So I think it's time for a compromise. I'm sure Rhyxemplar himself is getting frustrated with Horn Drill just simply not working this much as well. So, just to scale things back a little, how does Rhyxemplar deciding when to use Horn Drill from this point on sound? If Reiner can't seem to find a good time to land it, then he'll just have to determine that himself! (should also help with the surprise factor so it's not just evaded all the time...)
Which means in this battle, Rhyxemplar is going to just stop using it altogether since there's plenty of other ways to take out these mushrooms. Like Poison Jab. My next post is going to be rather...interesting as far as orders are concerned.
I am a little concerned about my pokemon being confused as well as slightly damaged already, though I'll appreciate Arbok waking up (but is it through a Shed Skin or naturally? A 6 just magically appearing in the last round's Shed Skin would probably just be the easiest way to explain Arbok waking up...and no, I'm not just saying this because it gets me another $2500 if you do it that way) and staying that way...
