'Oh great...very obvious mind control...useful, but not exactly in public...though I do wonder if I could pull off something like this normally...maybe not to this extent without the whole linking minds part, but...' (aka Trick's description in the core book)
Reiner shakes his head to clear his thoughts. 'Nope, I'll have time to think about this later. Right now, I need to figure out what I'm going to do with these two...'
He could do...well, anything, really. As long as it was within reason. He probably needed to make a decision quickly, since he didn't know how long this connection was going to last...he hoped it wasn't permanent...
The easy thing to do would be to have Angelica and Chansey forget they ever saw him and his pokemon earlier, or make them conveniently forget they'd thought he'd been suspicious, and then go back to business as usual. That'd solve most of the issues...
He could also have her hand over everything valuable she had on hand, all her pokemon, and then have her...'disappear.' That'd solve a good portion of the issues too...though it's not exactly a fate he'd wish on her just for simply doing her job...and then the few witnesses might get a little suspicious of him when the police started questioning what happened...yeah, probably best not to press his luck any further...
Time for a quiet set of orders then, to solve this mess and then get the heck out of dodge...he turns to Felicia and Weavile first.
"You frisky felines can go ahead and put the Big Nugget in my bag now. Seems we're in the clear...somehow. Now then, as for you two..." He turns to the tranced officer and her Chansey. He'd have to word this carefully...
"I'm going to walk away from here in a moment. When both of you can no longer see me and my pokemon, I want you both to completely forget about both any suspicions you had concerning us and the theft you saw my pokemon commit, and then go back to business as usual as if nothing was wrong in the first place 10 minutes after my pokemon and I have left. If you're asked about why you left your post and/or went to this cafe, it was because you started feeling a little unwell and needed to sit down, and the civilian you were questioning at the time offered to help you find a seat somewhere so you could rest for a short while. I'm also going to stop for a moment to talk with that gentleman behind me on my way out. You aren't going to remember anything relating to him."
Best keep it simple. Leave the officer, her items, and her pokemon alone since there were too many potential problems with witnesses and people she knows getting suspicious if things were oddly out of place or missing, but have her forget all about what nearly caused Reiner a great deal of trouble...and then he could get the heck out of dodge with a Big Nugget in tow. Seems rather solid...
Reiner gets up and walks over to Proton's grunt. He discretely hands the documents the cats had nabbed earlier back to the grunt and whispers to him so nobody else can hear. "Might wanna keep a tighter grip on those. And I doubt there's a need to report what just happened to Proton. I doubt I'll be able to replicate it any time soon, I'm unsure if Proton and the boss will believe it anyways, and for all intents and purposes, I didn't almost get caught in the first place. I'd also recommend you avoid being here if and when that officer snaps out of that daze. Kapeesh?"
Leaving the very surprised and confused looking grunt behind, Reiner starts to walk away and head back to his original destination: the Center. Well, that had been a little TOO exciting...and the day wasn't even halfway over yet...he definitely needed to lay low for a little bit now and sort out those other minor issues in the meantime...
