[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
(08-09-2017, 11:32 AM)Lord Windos Wrote: Mew, taking the opportunity of the two being distracted, she floated off the pillow she was comfortably rest on and made her way torwards, and poked you in the nose a couple of time to get your attention. 'Alright, now that Mr. Godly has introduced himself to us, and is over their tied up with Emily now, mind telling me what REALLY brought you here. I'm starving for some interesting news, so try to keep your story condensed and to the point, for both your and mine sake. You have a lot of work to do, and I don't want to spend a half hour listening to the unabridged version of events of your morning and early afternoon.'

'Well, get comfy, because we've got a few things to talk about concerning my newly acquired psychic powers.  Starting with what happened last night.  Before I encountered Mitchell Malcolm, I'd ended up in a rather...annoying battle with a drug addict and his mushroom pokemon.  Before Breloom slugged his former master and turned himself and his mushroom buddy over, though, I felt really, really strange.  I don't know if you noticed, but I had a splitting headache after that battle.  I was focusing on trying to figure out how to turn the battle around one moment, and the next, my pokemon were all surrounded in a faint aura of power.  I got really frustrated at Breloom and desired to punch it myself...and then it directly took a weak psychic attack soon afterwards.  The druggie thought he was just seeing things at first, but after that second occurrence, he was fairly certain I'm psychic.  And after what happened this morning, I can't say he's wrong...

'So, I said I almost got caught red-handed earlier.  That's because there was an officer by the name of Angelica with an unusually empathic Chansey on duty today.  Her Chansey got a little suspicious of my cats and me, and they managed to catch Weavile and Felicia in the act of snatching a Big Nugget when they got a little excited at nabbing such a valuable item.  I almost managed to convince her that it was nothing more than having a little difficulty with getting a disobedient, stray Persian to abandon her old habits, which isn't entirely wrong, but Chansey wasn't buying it.  So Angelica had Chansey read my intentions, and I had no problems with that because I figured I could hide them.  It wasn't my first rodeo with psychic and empathic pokemon, after all.

'But it didn't go as expected...instead of throwing off the Chansey and convincing the officer that nothing was wrong, the duo started feeling a little strange...I took the opportunity to lead them to a quiet, out of the way seat to divert the attention I'd drawn from a few passerby and figure out what in the heck just happened...but it wasn't so much leading them as it was them following orders.  It seems I'd accidentally brainwashed them or something just by letting Chansey attempt to read my emotions...which is a good thing in a few ways considering my line of work, though it's still a little disturbing...particularly since the effect doesn't seem to be waning.  They're probably still out there, ready to take orders from me at a moments notice...

'So...yeah...I seem to have access to a few psychic attacks now, from what I can tell...not 100% sure which ones they are, but...well, that's why I'm asking you about it.'
