"I've been enjoying the festival myself.  Not the festivities for the most part, but there have been a few happy moments, Mew being one of them.  As you said, this festival is full of opportunities, and I'm nearly done with my assigned tasks.  I have no need to cause unnecessary trouble for the festival at this point.
