Hey, Ventus doesn't know any better, given that he hasn't asked her about their feelings regarding them, and Shiva hasn't exactly been giving them the clearest of signals at times during the campaign. He's had girlfriend/boyfriends before , and her behavior to him SEEMS to indicate that they have SOME form of interest in them, even if its only subliminal at this point....

Well, while Ven already had relationships, she hadn't, so any hints are rather 'accidently'. It's still only platonic friendship, but there is that facination for that oddball of researcher that just keeps growing subliminally, plus that fun playful flirting game he (yes, HE in her view) started, it's just too enjoyable to see Ven all flustered towards her although she isn't cottoning on why he reacts like that just yet... Maybe at some point she'll get it if there are too many hints. Then things will get REALLY awkward, oh my...
