Dunno why you need to cause your own sticky situations though lol.

Because its in character for him to do so, rather than to completely ignore a location. The mystical location both heavily reminds him of the flower field that got his own mother kidnapped AND he's worried about other people/Pokémon (Such as Shiva and Braxien) either falling bewitched by its power, or using it for their own nefarious ends.

Remember, the only reason that Ven hasn't been fighting over the deyos is because he reached a compromise with Nathan as to what to their final fate, and he's far from happy or pleased from being strong armed and guilted/logiced into it. He still accepts it in the end, but if given the go to start torching all those crystalline flower by the group, he would began to do so with a GUSTO.
