Ventus honestly looked surprised by this declaration, before they slowly removed thier hand from his face and got a better look at their surroundings, realizing that what Nathan said was true. "....Huh, so you are correct, Nate. Baah....fending off the horde must have more exahuasting than I first thought, if I missed something this obvious. As for why I was mass attacked, I was hunting with Apsis, and we so happen to come across that Hypno, so I decided it would make for a good sporting meal for my snake. Unfortunately they had 'buddies' to call upon to defend themselves, as I have said, and they all surrounded and attempted to pulp the both of us. It was...rough, but Apsis and I managed to struggle our way through, though she had to forgo devouring that Psychic, least he have even more allies inbound. Hopefully that helps clarify details a bit for you..."

No clear lies for Kirlia to pick up this time (thank goodness).  Ventus was very, very obviously exhausted (he spent a Will point, after all).  Nathan's still got an annoyed look on his face though...and he's fairly quick to reasonably lash out at this current revelation.

"Ventus, Hypno are not 'prey' pokemon to hunt on a whim.  And going after a psychic type with an Arbok is a terrible idea in the first place, but this...Ventus, what did I say about the 'big picture' again?  Hypno aren't pokemon you run into every day around here.  Someone probably wants to catch uncommon and rare pokemon like that one, and you'd rob them of the chance to even find them by eliminating their presence in an area like that.  You're lucky I can sort of tolerate you hunting the common ones as it is since I've studied the other major regions' histories extensively.  You've already seen first hand how most of Creshire will react to such a practice.  I'd suggest you use your head a little more.  You're NOT in Unova, so you can't act like you are.  I've told you how much Creshire respects pokemon and practically everything relating to them, and I shouldn't have to tell you again."

He pauses for a moment, staring Ventus down to make sure he got his point across...and then he looks down and sighs...

"...I'm sorry...I shouldn't be almost yelling at you right now...I'm trying to keep myself in check...sticking to the logical conclusions...it's just so...hard to keep it separate from emotions when it's a topic I have a strong opinion on...and you've been out here for three hours as well...I was starting to worry that the Scimitars had captured you or worse...Shiva insisted that you'd be fine, but if you'd encountered two or even three of them?  They probably would have overwhelmed you...please, just...consider the bigger picture a little bit more, alright?  You could have done this later, when you weren't going to cause us unnecessary worry...let's just get back to the Center, meet up with Shiva and Valder, and start heading to Ginger Town, alright?"

(An expected reaction, and then a rather new one.  And some coincidental topics that relate to what Ventus has just done...hopefully this gives him some food for thought...)
