Shiva tilts her head toward the source of the noise. A trail of whipping stems follows the loud, ceaseless noise, as of a constant low wind. The trail gets close, and Shiva can see that a lady covered in a random, thick assortment of flapping fabrics is the source of the noise.
She's mounted on a Ponyta, and clutching a Woobat, aiming it at the ground in front of her. The Woobat is emitting a constant happy Gust of wind from its mouth, bending flowers out of Ponyta's way. Some petals fly up and land on Shiva.

"Whoa, Equisetum! Hi, young one! I'm Xiani. I'm sorry to have disturbed you! I'm on the watch for a green-petaled flower, have you seen any? No? Yes, they're quite hard to spot against the grass and stems. That's why I have Tacca here to disturb the stems and sort of separate them out as I go. That, and to keep Equisetum from burning them as we go. I'm on my way to Ginger Town for the Running! A mounted healer who can keep up with the Runners is very useful! I see you have Pokemon...Well, since our eyes met, would you like to battle? We could make a little wager, if you like."

...Neat. Just as she was about to doze off, that noise happened and prevented any calm rest. Oh well, maybe it was better this way, since she doesn't want to see how Ven would react if he'd spot her sleeping in a blasted flower field, it'll likely remind him the flower field that his mother visited. Better not...trigger anything... Helios didn't really care about the noise, while Kyuu came closer to his Master and looked up to her with his wide purple eyes, as if saying "Do you protect me now? I battled for you, so please!"

Doesn't matter though, since as soon as Shiva wrapped arms around her Espurr and got upright to see just what is coming for her. Didn't take long until she found the source... And by the look of it, she couldn't help but to feel amazed by that woman on a Ponyta and her Woobat. She emitted strength, grace and some sort of awe, all traits that caught Shiva's interest. She didn't even cared that much that mentioned Woobat has blown up petals into her hair that will likely stay there until she'd take the effort to brush them out.

"Ugh... yeah, Hi." It was clear that Shiva was rather unsure how to handle this. "No worries though, you didn't...disturb me... you're absolutely awe-inspiring. I didn't even know green-petaled flowers can be found in this area; if I would, I would have kept an eye open. Would you...or rather, do you know are used for? You tell me before battle? I myself am interested in herbology, so... Oh, and true, that Espurr and Abra here are mine. I'd actually be down for a battle, my Fairies could use some practice, and that flower field seems like a nice scene for that. How many Pokemon you have, and...do I...have to battle that Ponyta with that pretty name? Fairy/Grass, you know, but I also have an Azurill that wishes nothing more than to evolve... I also have enough money aside for wager. You make the offer though, please."

So, seemingly, if you look a person into the eyes, it's a silent challenge to a battle? Alright... That was somewhat new to Shiva, something she'll have to get comfortable on the quest for more strength.
