Ventus has a lot of reasons to distrust and dislike League Officials, namely: they didn't do anything for his grieving/broken family , would have thrown him into horrible foster care if they found out he was an orphan, Things That He Hasn't Mentioned To You Guys Yet, The whole fiasco with Project Silverfish and the feds, AND the way that they killed a Skuntank in a pretty inhumane and cruel way just to get rid of it.

Oh, and their is his whole bitterness of the local Ranger Union 'Just Guilty Period, Pay a Fine without a Trail or solid evidence other than heresay' (Yes, I am still and will ALWAYS remember it that way!) , and their incompetence/blistering ignorance in regards to Almanac or The Scimitars. He won't cause problems or incite reason for them around League Officials, but frankly wants nothing to do with them UNLESS he has no choice but to work/cooperate with the in some manner.

As for just what he's going to do upon finding out Nathan is with Valerie , he going to send a voice message to him/Shiva that he's going to hang around the back of the FAR back of the group (In the shadows like Valder) so long as they (League O.) is around, and explain quite succiently just why he's going to do it. Keep everyone in the know is important, even when they are going to be scattered apart!
