Ven's not quite sure if he wants to destroy it himself, or study how it works in closer detail. He's a Behavioral Pokémon Researcher/ Sociologist , but he's not uninterested in other scientific or technological fields of research, and is almost always happy to learn something new (Magical/Arcane/Fae/Information for Intruding Voices in his head non-withstanding). The thing is clearly has magical/elemental powers of some nature, which his a turn off for him, but he's a natural curious bugger that want to know about the enemy AMAP, so he's a bit divided on how to deal with them.

It doesn't hurt to know the Enemy (in this case, the Scimitars) just as Ventus speechifies, and Professor Mallorn feels like the person to turn to for the sake of finding out more!~ Like, that's why he's coming to Ginger Town meeting us at all... Researching the items on our own sounds like quite a hassle when Prof. can do that way better.
